概要
Svetlana’s story spans continents, trauma, survival, and an unexpected connection that would change her life.
Born in Ukraine, she lived through the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster, faced rising antisemitism, and was forced to leave her home as a child to seek medical treatment in North America.
After rebuilding her life in Canada—becoming a mother and working in child and family services—she never imagined her path would lead to a relationship with someone in prison.
What began as a reluctant conversation turned into something far deeper, challenging everything she believed about love, trust, and second chances.
This is a two-part story about resilience, identity, and a relationship no one saw coming.
