  • There's no reason Daniel can't make it to Halberstadt this summer (Season 9 Finale!!)
    2026/06/07

Hello everyone! Welcome to the season 9 finale! Join us for some for some fun, and say goodbye as we launch into summer with outside, good-weather times. We'll be doing pod work in the meantime, but you might not hear from us for a while!

Sorry for the incredibly late upload of the finale. First one thing got in the way of the release. Then Another. A healthy dose of inertia played a part. As we say, lotta ins, lotta outs. Anywhoodle happy to release the finale, finally!

Hope you have a great listen and do send us an email with anything you find interesting!

Thanks for listening, and we'll see you hopefully in September!

  • Where is San José? About 6,000 km from the eastern seaboard.
    2026/05/10

*San Jose is closer to 4,500 km away from the eastern seaboard*

*At around 21 minutes, we talk about the Italian wet-on-wet painting technique, but couldn't recall the Italian name. Its "alla prima"*

Sorry for the late upload! Glad you won't hold it against us :).

This week's interest segment include subjects statistics epidemiological and mercury and airplanes, Part 2.

Today's game has four categories as usual! Those are: Monte Cristo Sandwich, The Masters, Faces in Part, and Chili/e

  • Welcome to the Club of The Knowing (Daniel's new catchphrase?)
    2026/04/26

I must clarify that the "absolute volume of ire" we get when an episode doesn't come out is purely fictional haha! That's just a running joke between the quizzing dudes.

Anywho, this week's interest segment includes an extremely long albeit direct link between a major 2000s world event and the fall of Ellen DeGeneres, and the re-entry into our atmosphere of Artemis II.

For the game segment, we have sets on categories Rabbits, Amalgamations, Fictional Counts, and "K".

Let me know if I've forgotten any, but so far, winnable non-point credits for correct answers in this show include "tiebreakers" and, introduced this episode, "clout"?

  • Oh, her?
    2026/04/12

Happy post-Easter, sometimes potentially referred to as Poster! Or Peaster? Let us know how you refer to this, the special weekend that is the one after Easter. We are lucky enough (organized enough for once) to have a bit of Easter-con too! What a week!

Lots of chess references this episodes as the Candidates tournament was happening during recording :p

Anywho, this episode's interest segments are on CQD and people who played the same role on stage and screen.

Our quizzing sets today are on subjects Programs and Applications, "Bo", Famous People From Australia, and Eggs.

We are back! Busy busy time in the professional lives of the Dudes Who Quiz, but happy you're here now to spend some time with us :) Daniel types a lot in this episode I am noticing in post. Also Spoiler Alert: This may be the 2DDT season of Legally Blonde.

Our interest segment this week covers the sun's gravity and plane toilets.

For our game segment we have sets on subjects What's In a Name, Rye, Crescents, and "ts".

  • "umm....you *hit* a home run. You wouldn't say you *score* a home run"
    2026/03/08

Welcome back! In classic fashion my posing as a sports person has been uncovered. I was hoisted by own petard and you'll have to listen to understand how running homers may quickly become my new grand slam. At least Will's sets bring us some laughs to aid in my sportsular recovery. And yes, its one of those episodes that involves singing.

Hope you've been keeping well and this episode catches you in your annual penultimate ides of March prep week. I always forget to prepare for the ides but honestly so little bad has happened to me at that time of year, year after year, I feel like I shouldn't beat myself up about it.

Our interest segment this week covers vertigo and Dextrocardia.

This week's game sets are on subjects Mariner, Popular Songs With A Single Letter Added To Their Titles, Arches, and Athletes

You know how to contact as by now, so make sure you do so, and next time you'll be hearing from us, it'll be March!

  • The one where Daniel gives away the answer to one clue by asking an earlier one
    2026/02/08

Welcome back! We hit a potential 2DDT milestone-ish! Once this episode goes live, it may be the case that we've been using our intro music for two years now! Fun! On to the game.

Daniel messed up a few of these clues, but hoping you'll find this episode more entertaining than edifying. These and/or those categories this week are: Words of the Year 2025, Bobs, Daniel's New Hobby of Mixology, Catchers

Send us an email (you know where) and have a guess at what Daniel jokingly calls AI slop which he bleeped out in post. Hint: Its family friendly but a bit harsh.
