Forgiveness is powerful, but what if it is not always the end of the healing process?

But as we prayed and asked Spirit-led questions, it became clear that her irritation was not the root. It was the signal.

There was an open wound being touched over and over again, connected to years of hurt, disrespect, and deeper childhood pain. This episode is a powerful reminder that forgiveness matters, but sometimes forgiveness opens the door for God to reveal what still needs healing.

Scripture: Psalm 139:23-24
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life."

Prayer:
God, search my heart and show me what still needs healing. I thank You for the grace to forgive, but I also ask You to reveal any wound that is still open. Help me stop shaming myself for my reactions and start listening for what You want to heal. I want to respond from Christ in me, not react from old pain. In Jesus' name, amen.

Declaration:
I have grace to forgive, and I have permission to heal deeper. My reaction is not my identity. God is showing me the wound so He can heal the root.
