Acts 1:3

After his suffering and death, he appeared to them. In many ways he proved that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of 40 days. During that time he spoke about God’s kingdom.

Luke 24:1-3

1 It was very early in the morning on the first day of the week. The women took the spices they had prepared. Then they went to the tomb.

2 They found the stone rolled away from it.

3 When they entered the tomb, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus

Daniel 6

10 Daniel found out that the king had signed the order. In spite of that, he did just as he had always done before. He went home to his upstairs room. Its windows opened toward Jerusalem. He went to his room three times a day to pray. He got down on his knees and gave thanks to his God.

James 5:13-15

13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Then that person should pray. Is anyone among you happy? Then that person should sing songs of praise.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Then that person should send for the elders of the church to pray over them. They should ask the elders to anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 The prayer offered by those who have faith will make the sick person well. The Lord will heal them. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Part 8 Then what...?

Genesis 18:9-15 (NIV)

9 “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. “There, in the tent,” he

said.

10 Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah

your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was

behind him.

11 Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of

childbearing.

12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my lord is

old, will I now have this pleasure?”

13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and

say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’

14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will

return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”

15 Sarah was afraid, so

she lied and said, “I did not laugh.” But he said, “Yes, you did laugh.”

Part 7 Then what...?John 11:1-6

11 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.)

3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”

4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,
