Welcome back to the Astrology and Magic Podcast, my loves.
This Taurus New Moon on May 16th arrives as a deep exhale after months of pressure, emotional intensity and collective overstimulation. Since April 9th, Mars and Saturn have been moving together through Aries, creating tension between desire and restriction, movement and heaviness, urgency and exhaustion.
Many of us have felt emotionally stretched between trying to move forward while simultaneously confronting fear, grief, identity shifts and nervous system overwhelm.
In this episode, we explore the sacred medicine of the Taurus New Moon and why this lunation marks an important energetic shift.
We move through:
• The emotional and spiritual impact of Mars and Saturn in Aries since April
• Why so many people have been confronting themes around identity, pressure and unmet needs
• The Scorpio Full Moon and the surfacing of grief, abandonment and deep attachment patterns
• Scorpio’s desire for profound soul merging and what happens when we lose ourselves seeking connection
• Taurus as the medicine of safety, simplicity, embodiment and nervous system regulation
• The significance of Ceres, the Divine Mother archetype connected to nurturing, protection and self devotion
• Reflection around how you were nurtured, protected or emotionally conditioned in childhood
• Mercury’s conjunction with the Sun and Ceres as a purification of the mind and a reseeding of inner clarity
• Why this New Moon is less about forcing manifestation and more about creating internal safety
• The importance of lunar living, cyclical awareness and reconnecting to the feminine body
• Somatic and ritual practices to work with this lunation including journalling, altar creation, movement, nature and rest
This New Moon invites us to slow down enough to hear ourselves again.
To stop abandoning the body in pursuit of certainty.
To soften after survival.
To become the nurturer and protector we may have spent years searching for externally.
The medicine of Taurus reminds us that healing is not always found in intensity. Sometimes healing arrives through simplicity, through rest, through touch, through breath and through finally feeling safe enough to stay present with ourselves.
Moon School
Moon School has now closed for this current round, and I am so deeply proud of the women who have just completed this initiation into lunar living, ritual and cyclical embodiment.
Watching these women reconnect to their intuition, their bodies and the sacred rhythm of the Moon has been incredibly special.
Moon School will reopen again after a period of deep integration and embodiment.
If you feel called to learn the lunar cycle in a deeper, more ancient and embodied way, you can join the waitlist below for the next opening.

There is something incredibly transformative about learning to live with the Moon instead of against yourself.
