We're excited to welcome our next guests to ¡Buenos Días! Kern County: Veronica Corona, Chairwoman of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, and David Alanis, Foundation Secretary of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
In this episode, we'll explore how the chamber serves business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders—and why active, meaningful participation helps strengthen networks, unlock new opportunities, and support long-term success. We'll discuss leadership and service within the business community, including board involvement, community engagement, and the commitment required to move impactful initiatives forward. Veronica will share her perspective as a small business owner and coach, to highlighting the value of relationships and the importance of staying engaged with the chamber to build trust and create opportunity. She'll also discuss the role networking plays in a business owner's success and explain her approach to "Your Network is your Networth!" We'll then spotlight David's work with the KCHCC Small Business Academy, including how it provides local entrepreneurs with training, mentorship, and practical, hands-on guidance. Finally, we'll take a deeper look at the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce RISE program, including how this year's cohort featured a dynamic two-day in-person training session in Bakersfield. We'll hear how participants benefited from in-person engagement, what the cohort focused on, and how RISE supports entrepreneurs through education, ongoing support, and community-driven momentum.
