Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, explores sibling estrangement. He explains why sibling estrangement is more painful than other types of estrangement. Dr. Hall outlines the things that can trigger estrangement between siblings and points out that research tells us that one in four American adults report being estranged from a sibling. He points out that sometimes the best path forward is cutting ties with the sibling that you have been fighting with. Although the Bible discourages legal action in courts 82% of evangelical leaders do not believe that the Bible forbids Christians from suing each other. Dr. Hall uses sibling stories in the Bible to outline God’s expectations for siblings. Dr. Hall concludes the podcast by pointing out that God is asking us to forgive those who have wronged us and to make amends to those that we have wronged. • Strings of Life
    2026/05/23

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, examines commencement speeches given at colleges and universities during this year’s graduation ceremonies. He looks at speeches that were roundly booed by the audiences to a speech so anti-Semitic that it can be considered the worst speech in 2026. On the other end of the spectrum Dr. Hall focuses on the commencement address at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that is considered the best commencement address delivered in 2026, and one of the best of all time. This speech was given by Eric Church, a country music artist and songwriter who grew up in North Carolina and has received many awards for his music. In this speech Eric Church uses his guitar as a metaphor to talk about six strings of life. Dr. Hall takes the liberty to expand on Eric Church’s metaphor through a scriptural perspective.
