Welcome to Contributor Spotlight! This month we shine the spotlight on Todd Uebele!

Todd Uebele is a soldier, a sailor, an engineer, a writer and a podcaster!

Has been on active duty with both the Navy and the Army. Serving in Japan and Afghanistan. He has also worked as a contractor to the Air Force in Qatar.

Todd was also an Elder at Eastminster Presbyterian Church and is the author of “Coffee With Jesus” and “Coffee With Jesus: The Second Cup.”

He previously co-founded One Body Ministries International. Most recently, he founded Coffee With Jesus Ministries in the hopes of spreading comfort throughout the Body of Christ.

What does it truly mean to call God our strength and refuge?

As Christians we have an amazing freedom in Christ Jesus. Freedom from sin, freedom from the law, freedom from anxiety.

As believers, we often struggle to trust God’s presence when He feels silent or distant. So, how can we overcome uncertainty and the feeling that God is silent? How can we be strong and resolute when facing battles, fear, anxiety, or uncertainty?

In this episode, our host and his guest share Scriptures and personal testimonies that assure us that God is with us and that He cares for us. We reflect on how God meets us in dark places, works beyond our understanding, and shows up through community and obedience. Sarah lives in the Ozarks, an area of fields and streams. She has 2 grown sons, one grandson.

Sarah is active in her church, sings in the choir, and loves her ministry in the prayer group.

She has always felt the need to bring out the greatest potential of all she becomes involved with.

During a traumatic event, the brain is primed to respond reflexively to ensure survival. But that same line of defense that keeps us safe can also keep clients trapped in cycles of traumatic memory. Trauma comes in many forms and the cycles of trauma can manifest in many ways.

In this episode, our host shares his own struggles with PTSD, as well as some practical tips to handle the resurgence of anxiety that may develop even after PTSD seems beaten.

Know that through each step, God is with you. Our Heavenly Father will NEVER leave you. Even when you can't feel His presence, the Lord is there, right beside you.
