Dr. Flax practices full-time in Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on functional-esthetic restorative dentistry and advanced laser dentistry. In 2003, he was WSB-TV’s expert on Cosmetic Dentistry and appeared on FOX News, demonstrating the miraculous benefits of laser dentistry.

He has been the expert dentist on the “Meet the Products” television show, H2O Magazine, and Best Self. He and his practice have been featured in many women’s magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Allure, New Beauty, In Style, The Atlantan, and Good Housekeeping. He has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Dear Doctor, The Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Productive Dentist Magazine. In 2022, he became the Official Dentist of the Miss Georgia USA and Miss Teen Georgia USA.

We love discussing oral systemic health, so we could not be more excited to chat with Anne O. Rice on this week’s episode👏 Anne will highlight the oral connections with dementia, Alzheimer's and mental longevity. This episode is not just for dental professionals but for EVERYONE!

Anne has been a clinical dental hygienist for 35 years and is a speaker, writer, and dental practice consultant who has a special interest in how oral hygiene affects overall health, particularly brain health. She created Oral Systemic Seminars in 2017 and now devotes much of her time, focus and study to dementia prevention. She is a preceptor for the Bale/Doneen method, a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Longevity Specialist with the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation, where she has also developed curriculum.

She is a Fellow with The American Academy for Oral Systemic Health and serves on numerous advisory boards. She has a column in RDH magazine about oral systemic health and was a 2024 recipient of Sunstar’s Award of Distinction in the category of research for her 2021 manuscript Alzheimer’s Disease and Oral-Systemic Health for Frontiers. She has recently joined the faculty for The Institute for Functional Dentistry. She’s been included in an International Consortium of a diverse network of brain researchers, clinicians and institutions who support Alzheimer’s prevention.

Anne’s consulting has brought her to Weill Cornell Medical Center’s Alzheimer’s Prevention Clinic, Florida Atlantic College Center for Brain Health, the Atria Health and Research Institute and The Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases of Florida.

Dr. J.L. Holliday is a second-generation dentist practicing in Greenville, SC, where he focuses on high-end, fee-for-service dental care. After graduating from MUSC in Charleston, SC, Dr. Holliday served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy for six years, including a GPR at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and two years at sea.

Dr. Holliday credits much of his growth in dentistry to Molis Coaching. He was a graduate of Molis Mastermind Class 13 and is thrilled to now serve on the Molis Coaching faculty. He is also a speaker for Align Technology, where he enjoys presenting on complex Invisalign treatment, Invisalign Smile Architect, and iTero Design Suite. He leverages this digital expertise, coupled with advanced training from Spear Education (including Treatment Planning, Occlusion, and Worn Dentition Workshops), for high-end comprehensive dentistry and full arch cases.

Dr. Holliday recently founded the Digital Restorative Academy to teach other doctors how to incorporate digital dentistry and same-day CADCAM into their practices. He is passionate about empowering team members and fostering professional growth, viewing the practice's success as a platform to serve his wife, Katie, and their three young children, and to continue his long-standing commitment to international dental mission work.
