And while he does not always act the way we ask, he always acts with wisdom toward our well-being and his glory.

It is good because the story does not end at the cross. On Sunday morning, the stone was rolled away and the angel's message was clear: He is not here. He is risen, just as he said.

    Good Friday is good because we are forgiven, because eternal life is freely offered, and because the gospel — the good news that Christ died so that we could live — is now ours to share with a world that desperately needs to hear it.
