  • EP 108 - Are You Seeking Wisdom or Validation? Biblical Wisdom for Moms
    2026/06/24

Every mom needs advice from time to time.

Whether you're navigating parenting decisions, marriage struggles, homeschooling, friendships, anxiety, or simply trying to discern God's will, the question isn't whether you'll seek counsel—it's who you'll listen to.

In this episode of Faith for Anxious Moms, Lynn explores the story of King Rehoboam in 2 Chronicles 10-12 and the costly consequences of rejecting wise counsel. Rehoboam sought advice from two groups of people, but ultimately chose the voices that affirmed what he wanted to hear rather than what he needed to hear.

As Christian moms, we're surrounded by opinions—from social media, parenting experts, friends, family members, and online communities. But how do we know which voices are helping us move closer to God's wisdom?

    Together we'll discuss:

✔ Why seeking godly counsel is a biblical principle✔ The difference between advice that feels comfortable and advice that is wise✔ Titus 2 and the importance of older women mentoring younger women✔ How Proverbs 15:22 and Proverbs 3:5-6 guide our decision-making✔ Why God's Word must remain our ultimate source of truth✔ Practical encouragement for moms who feel like they don't have a trusted mentor

We'll also talk about the beauty of studying the Old Testament and why these ancient stories continue to provide wisdom for modern motherhood.

If you're looking for biblical wisdom, encouragement, Bible study tools, and practical help for growing your faith while raising godly kids, this episode is for you.

  • EP 107 | What Are Alternative School Options for Christian Families Today? An Educational Conversation with Tricia Chinners
    2026/06/10

Are Christian families looking for something different when it comes to education?

With Texas public school enrollment declining by more than 47,000 students this year and national enrollment projections continuing downward, many parents are asking important questions about their children's education, faith formation, and sense of belonging.

In this episode, Lynn sits down with Tricia Chinners, founder of Salt & Light Academy in Howe, Texas. A wife, mother, grandmother, and former NICU nurse, Tricia shares the incredible story of how God led her to create a unique learning environment where children can slow down, grow in responsibility, build meaningful relationships, and deepen their faith.

    Together they discuss:

    • Why families are exploring alternatives to traditional education
    • What parents are saying they want most for their children
    • How Salt & Light Academy combines faith, academics, farm life, and hands-on learning
    • The importance of belonging, connection, and character development
    • Biblical wisdom for moms making educational decisions
    • Following God's calling even when the outcome feels uncertain
    • How God has faithfully provided throughout the academy's journey

If you've ever wondered how to raise godly kids in today's culture, sought Bible study verses for wisdom and direction, or wrestled with educational decisions for your family, this conversation will encourage and inspire you.

Whether you're a homeschooling family, private school family, public school family, or simply seeking God's wisdom for motherhood, this episode offers encouragement, perspective, and hope for raising children who know and love Christ.

Seeing where God has been faithful before, we can rest that he will be faithful again!

    ENJOY friends and HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

  • EP 106 | Why Does God Allow Hard Seasons? Hope for Christian Moms in the Psalms
    2026/06/03

Can life be hard and good at the same time?

After Mother’s Day, I found myself reflecting on the tension so many moms feel every day — joy mixed with grief, gratitude mixed with exhaustion, peace mixed with uncertainty and anxiety mixed with desire for wisdom in motherhood.

In this episode, we talk about the “duality” of difficult seasons and what Scripture shows us about walking through hardship with faith.

Through Psalms 40, 61, and 62, we look at David’s life during some of his darkest moments — betrayal, loss, fear, and uncertainty — yet we also see his continual praise and trust in God. So many great Bible verses for anxiety seen in David's emotionally charged Psalms.

What stood out to me this time reading the Psalms was this: David understood that God was doing something bigger than his immediate struggle.

In my quiet time, God used Psalms 40, 61, and 62 to show me that hard seasons can still point us — and others — to the hope and faithfulness of a Sovereign God.

What if our struggles are not only shaping us… but also pointing others toward Christ?

    In this episode we discuss:

    • Why two things can be true at once
    • The danger of staying stuck in complaint
    • How gratitude changes our perspective
    • Why your children are watching your faith
    • How to share God’s goodness even in difficult seasons
    • But more importantly, how responses to hard times potentially affects others

Life is hard. But God is still faithful. And our hope in Him outweighs it all.

    ENJOY friends and HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
