Join host Patrick Cadigan as he discusses episode nine of Defenders of the Earth, “The Revenge of Astra." Flash Gordon narrowly avoids crashing his spacecraft into an unseen object, leading the Defenders to discover that a mysterious ship has arrived at Ice Station Earth. From there, Princess Astra allies with Ming the Merciless, seeking revenge against Flash because she believes he is responsible for her mother’s death. As Ming sends Garax to steal the sacred Blue Clay from the Bandar tribe, the Defenders become embroiled in a battle to protect the ancient ceremony and stop Astra’s quest for vengeance.

Through courage and teamwork, our heroes help save the world, proving that being a hero is not about being fearless, but about acting despite fear.
