  • Learning New Skills at Midlife: Why You Need a Netflix Mindset
    2026/04/10

At 50, everything feels harder. Your hormones are unstable, you're exhausted, and the last thing you want is to learn something new.

But here's what I've realized: you're either Blockbuster or Netflix.

Blockbuster didn't fail because it was bad. It failed because it stopped evolving. Netflix kept adapting. At 50, comfort feels earned, but it's actually the slow path to irrelevance.

In this episode, I share an example of pushing myself to try something new when every part of me wanted to stay still:

    • The AI website pivot — How resistance to learning AI changed into excitement when I built my husband's full functional website in two weeks
    • Why the thinking phase is the hardest part — Your brain is wired to protect you by highlighting everything that could go wrong
    • The choice you actually have — Tired and growing, or tired and staying the same. Both are hard. One leads somewhere.

I also talk about what's coming next for this podcast, changes are happening, and I'm not staying static either.

The core message: trying new things isn't as hard as your head makes it out to be. And when you push through that resistance, you prove to yourself that you're capable of more than you thought.

Key takeaway: You don't want to be 75 looking back wishing you'd tried. Evolution isn't optional at this stage. It's survival.

  • My Last Podcast Episode Sucked. A Lesson in Overthinking.

My Last Podcast Episode Sucked. A Lesson in Overthinking.

My Last Podcast Episode Sucked — And Here's Why

I'm calling it out. My last episode was not great, and I know exactly why. I spent an entire afternoon running it through AI, trying to make it perfect, and by the time I posted it, it was 13 minutes of sliced and diced content that barely connected. The original version, with all the repetition and rambling, would have been better. That realization sent me down a rabbit hole about overthinking and what it actually costs us.

In this episode I'm talking about why overthinking kills the magic, why repetition in how you communicate isn't a flaw, and why the most well-received things I've ever put out are always the ones I almost didn't post. I also share why I started using Threads as a low-stakes place to just say things without second-guessing myself, and why that practice has been more valuable than any amount of editing.

This is a permission slip to stop asking "is this okay?" and just be yourself, in your content, your business, your relationships, all of it. Because the version of you that you keep editing out? That's the one people actually connect with.

Thank you all so much for listening!

  • Shedding Old Skin: What Deleting Old Podcasts Taught Me
    2026/02/07

In this episode, I’m sharing something very real and very current.

This morning, I sat down to delete old podcast episodes dating all the way back to 2016. As I moved through them one by one, I realized I wasn’t just cleaning up content. I was looking at past versions of myself. Different belief systems. Different seasons. Different motivations.

From my network marketing era, to business coaching, to personal development and mindset culture, this episode is a candid reflection on growth, scarcity, hustle, and what success actually means to me now.

This isn’t about regret or shame.
    It’s about perspective.
And letting go of what no longer fits.

In this episode, I talk about:

    • Why some of my earliest podcast episodes make me cringe now
    • How fast money and success can be driven by fear and scarcity
    • The pressure to hustle, perform, and prove worth
    • How personal development culture became just another hamster wheel
    • Losing my house, my confidence, and the illusion of “having it all”
    • How perimenopause forced me to slow down and reassess everything
    • What success means to me at 50
    • Why deleting old episodes feels like shedding skin
    • Making space for what’s next, even when you don’t know exactly what that is yet

If you’re feeling stuck in hustle mode, questioning the version of success you’re chasing, or sensing that something in your life needs to be released, this episode is for you.

Sometimes growth doesn’t look like more.
Sometimes it looks like less, with more clarity.

    Reflection question for you:

What are you holding onto that no longer reflects who you are?

And what might be possible if you let it go?

Thank you all so much for listening!

It genuinely means a lot to know that my journey, and what I’m learning along the way, helps you too.
