Skies are partly cloudy with temps hoverin' around 32°C, light southeast winds at 10-15 km/h, and a balmy sea breeze makin' it perfect for a cast. Sunrise was at 6:20 AM, sunset's 6:35 PM—plenty of daylight left for some action. Tides today: high at 10:15 AM and 10:45 PM, low at 4:20 PM, so fish are pushin' in on the flood right now.

    Fish are fired up in these warm waters—barracuda, trevally, snapper, and queenfish are smashin' lures like crazy. Recent catches around Phuket: boats reportin' 20-30 barracuda per trip on poppers, limits of golden trevally up to 5kg near reefs, and heaps of red snapper on the bottom rigs. GTs are showin' in 10-20m depths, with a few 10kg monsters boated yesterday off Racha. Squid night's been hot too, with glow jigs pullin' doubles.

    Best lures? Stick to stickbaits and poppers like Yo-Zuri 3DB or Halco Roosta Popper in chromish or pilchard—work 'em fast over reefs for barracuda and trevs. For bottom dwellers, soft plastics on 1/2oz jigheads or knife jigs in pink. Live bait? Small prawns or squid strips on circle hooks for snapper, mullet chunks for GTs. Early mornin' and dusk bites are prime.

    Hit these hot spots: Mai Thon Island for reef trevs and snapper—anchor in 15m and drop baits. Or Kata Beach rocks for shore barracuda on poppers. Water's 29°C, clear as glass—get out there before the tourons crowd it!
