  • The Cost of Living in Fear (Psychology & Neuroscience)
    2026/04/25

There’s a moment most people don’t talk about.

It’s the point where you realize…

you can’t keep living like this.

Not because you suddenly became more disciplined,

but because the cost of staying the same finally feels too high.

That’s what people call rock bottom.

    But it’s actually clarity.

In this episode, I break down why fear is at the root of self-sabotage, avoidance, and the patterns you keep finding yourself in, and why trying to “push through” it usually keeps you stuck.

Your brain isn’t working against you.

It’s trying to protect you from something it believes is a threat.

    We get into:

    • The neuroscience behind fear and avoidance
    • Why change doesn’t happen until it feels necessary
    • The hidden cost of living in fear
    • How radical acceptance and surrender actually shift things
    • What it looks like to stop letting fear run your life

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” — Viktor Frankl

If you’ve been waiting to feel ready, this will change how you see that.

  • The Neuroscience of Self-Sabotage: Why Your Brain Blocks Your Success and How to Rewire It
    2025/11/30

Neuroscientists suggest that willpower is actually one of the weakest ways to create real change.
Because when you rely on willpower, you’re fighting your own brain and you will never outperform your neurochemistry.

Your brain sticks to what feels familiar.
If stress, doubt, or chaos are what it knows, it will choose them over the unknown…
even if the unknown is better.

This is why people often choose:

    • a familiar hell over an unfamiliar heaven

    • old patterns over new possibilities

    • sabotage over success

    THIS is why we self-sabotage.

THIS is why, when life starts feeling good, you hit an upper limit and pull yourself back.

Your brain isn’t trying to hurt you. It’s simply repeating what feels predictable and safe to it.

But once you teach your brain a new normal?
    Everything changes.

So no, you can’t outperform your chemistry…
    but you can retrain it.

If you have ever felt like beating yourself up was the only way to get results, you are not alone. The brain’s reward system reinforces self-criticism because the discomfort pushes us into action. But the cost is high: fight-or-flight takes over, the amygdala goes into overdrive, and we lose access to the prefrontal cortex that gives us clarity and focus.

In this episode, you will learn:

    • How the brain’s reward system gets hooked on self-criticism

    • Why this approach activates the amygdala and blocks focus

    • The neuroscience evidence for self-kindness as a more effective motivator

    • Tools I used while preparing my TEDx talk to shift out of overwhelm and into clarity

  • Changing the Narrative - Overcoming the Limitations of Your Own Mind
    2023/06/27
You’re not lazy or unworthy of success, your brain is repeating a false narrative that’s leading you to avoid your desires, sabotage your success, and keep you stuck. It’s time to change the narrative. “Nothing has any meaning except the meaning you give it.” - Tony Robbins - If you believe something is happening to you, that will take away your power and energy. If you believe it’s happening for you, this gives you energy, power, and allows you to tap into your inner recourses and potential.

  • You Don’t Rise to the Level of your Goals. You Fall to the Level of Your Systems.
    2023/05/18
If you want to reach your goals you have to create effective systems in your life to help you get there. Systems of actions and systems of beliefs inside of your mind. You need both. If you try to achieve a goal because you “believe” you can but your outward systems and actions are not effective, you won’t reach them. Likewise, if you have amazing outward systems but your subconscious isn’t on board with your goals, you are going to face more resistance and potentially sabotage your goals.

The big lie that keeps people stuck, is that they have to be in a confined, fear based, frustrated state and deal with all the collateral damage in order to get what they want in life. The truth is, you don’t have to feel stuck or suffer in order to have what you want. When you program your mind to find joy within the journey, things come to you with so much ease.
