Success sounds glamorous until you’re living the slow part: the false starts, the awkward first attempts, the moments where you swear you’re “close” and the results say otherwise. I share why I ultimately chose the name Journey To Success, even after experimenting with titles like “The Fabio Podcast” and “From Failure To Success” and realizing how the word failure can land heavier than we intend. The bigger point is the one most people miss: missteps are not the opposite of progress, they’re often the price of getting honest feedback.

We dig into the mindset traps that quietly destroy momentum, especially ego and impatience. Ego wants fast money and fast wins to impress someone, prove something, or escape a job overnight. But when speed becomes the goal, shortcuts take over, focus disappears, and burnout shows up right on schedule. We talk about why patience isn’t just a nice trait, it’s a core success skill that keeps you building when the early results are small and the work feels repetitive.

I also share a real example from Substack and audience building: running ads, losing subscribers, and realizing I was rushing instead of serving the right community. From there we get practical about the fundamentals that actually move the needle in personal growth and productivity: humility, learning from others, studying what’s already been documented, and using trial and error to create your own “instructions” for success. We close with the power of focus like a sniper, how to expand to new platforms without drifting from your core goal, and a question for you about what your journey looks like.

Subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review. What challenge has shaped your path the most?

  • What Is The 635 Method
    2026/05/20

Send me a Text Message! I am Happy to Hear from You.

Your best ideas can die in a “brainstorm” for two predictable reasons: it gets personal, and it gets loud. We start with a simple real-life moment where a quick conversation with my fiancée flips a stuck problem into an easier path forward, then we use that as proof of something most of us forget when we’re grinding solo. A fresh perspective can save you hours, but only if you know how to invite it without turning the room into a debate.

We dig into the hidden friction inside collaborative brainstorming: when someone challenges your intuition, it can feel like they’re challenging you. To stop that spiral, we talk about zooming out, building a wider mental frame, and separating facts from assumptions so feedback becomes useful instead of personal. That shift alone can change how you handle creative thinking, decision-making, and problem solving at work or in your own projects.

Then we get practical with a simple, structured brainstorming technique: the 6-3-5 method (brainwriting). Six participants write three ideas in five minutes, pass the paper, and build on what’s already there. The result is calmer meetings, more equal participation, less chaos, and up to 108 ideas generated through iterative collaboration. If you want a repeatable way to run better brainstorming sessions and improve idea generation, this is a strong place to start.

  • What Is Self Honesty
    2026/05/13

Send me a Text Message! I am Happy to Hear from You.

You can read every book, save every quote, and “stay positive” for months, but if you’re not telling yourself the truth, you’ll keep repeating the same patterns. We go straight at the real reason so many people stay stuck: self-deception dressed up as comfort, excuses, and familiar habits. If you’ve been saying you want success, financial freedom, or personal growth while avoiding the discomfort that change requires, this one is meant to challenge you in a good way.

We break down what real progress looks like when you stop lying to yourself and start acting with clarity. That includes self-awareness (seeing strengths and weaknesses without denial), setting SMART goals you can measure, and embracing reality without pretending your situation is better than it is. From there we move into resilience, using a powerful “cave” metaphor to show how fear narrows your options and how perspective can reopen possibilities.

We also talk growth mindset and failure: not as an ending, but as useful feedback when you analyze it and adjust your approach. You’ll hear why seeking honest feedback can speed up your self-improvement, how supportive relationships create accountability, and why regular reflection and celebrating small wins keep motivation alive over the long haul.

If this hit home, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, share it with someone who needs a push toward honesty, and leave a review to help more people find the show. What’s one area where deeper self-honesty could change your future?
