概要

Lace Up & Listen is a space for honest conversations about movement, emotions, and figuring out life in real time. This channel isn't about perfection or pace..it's about what movement teaches us when things don't go as planned. Here you'll find raw reflections, test episodes, and conversations rooted in running, recovery, curiosity, and showing up even when the answers aren't clear. If you're navigating change, rebuilding trust with your body, or learning how to move forward without having it all figured out...you're in the right place. What if it works out?Briana Abraham 個人的成功 自己啓発

  • Your Body Isn't A Formula
    2026/04/07

What if you're not underfueling...you're overfueling?

In this episode, I'm breaking down how I went from blindly following fueling formulas to actually learning what my body needs, and why those "one size fits all" recommendations might be holding you back more than helping you.

We talk about the reality of overfueling, GI issues, sodium overload, and why effort, not just time or distance, should guide how you fuel. I also share how using power changed the way I understand my runs, and why heart rate alone doesn't tell the full story.

This episode goes deeper into my personal experience training with Ulcerative Colitis, navigating food limitations, fatigue, and the constant balance of trying to fuel enough without overwhelming my system.

If you're training for a race, following advice you've seen online, or just trying to figure out what actually works for you, this is your reminder that your body is not a formula.

Take what resonates, leave what doesn't, and start learning what works for you.

  • You're Not Starting Over
    2026/04/01

This year, I've only run 77 miles outside of racing.

And for a second, I thought that meant I was losing everything I worked for.

But the more I sat with it, the more I realized...I'm not starting over.

In this episode, I'm breaking down the difference between completely stopping and actually maintaining your base. We talk about what a base really is, what's happening in your body when you build it, and why you don't lose your fitness as quickly as you think you do.

I also get into the pressure a lot of us feel to always be training, always progressing, always chasing the next race...and how that mindset can quietly lead to burnout.

Because a hard truth is, most of us aren't getting paid to do this..but we're structuring our lives like we are.

So this is a conversation about finding balance. About doing enough without doing everything. About staying connected to running without letting it take over your life.

If you've ever felt like you're falling behind, like you've lost your fitness, or like you have to start over every time you step away...

    you're not starting over.

  • Who Belongs At runDisney?
    2026/03/27

In this episode, I'm diving into a conversation that's been everywhere lately... Who belongs at runDisney?

I talk through the debate around training vs. no training, walkers vs. runners, and the idea that some people are "taking spots" from others. I break down why that argument isn't as solid as it sounds, and how quickly we start making assumptions about people we don't actually know.

I also share my perspective as someone who values training and effort, but refuses to turn that into a reason to exclude others.

For me, this all comes down to one thing: Awareness. Not your pace, not your finish time, not your corral...but how you show up in a shared spaced and how you treat the people around you.

I close the episode with some personal updates-where I'm at mentally, what I'm training for right now, and what this next season is looking like for me.

If you've had thoughts about this conversation, or if you've ever questioned where you fit in as a runner, this one's for you.
