    2026/05/25

Where Claire and Lis discuss a remarkably busy week given Saints weren’t playing. We start with news of Saints and Lightning new contracts and a sad farewell. We talk awards for both teams which we can all watch on the telly. We do talk about the England Rugby training squad and question some choices that were and weren’t made by Steve Borthwick.

But this pod is really going to be a celebration of the wonderful performance of Bedford Blues as they secured their place in the Elior Champ Final. We talk about a brilliant evening at Goldington Road where we spotted a familiar face in the match highlights video😂 We do award our Ladies Wot Pod Player of the Match.

We also, talk about that match at Ealing Trailfinders where Ealing really did demonstrate why chickens should never be counted. All thanks to a farmer Saint!

We talk about the two Finals in Bilbao; we talk about the fall out of Saints match against Bristol Bears; the Saints Walking Rugby league is reviewed and we of course, catch up with Dave on the sofa. Dave seems to have got out and about this week.

And we look forward to a huge week of rugby - Saints continue their quest for a home semi final as they play Gloucester at the Gardens. And it will be the time when we say some goodbyes. Lightning are also at the Gardens where Lis will be on duty to present the Player of the Season.

  • Ladies Wot Pod Series 2!! Episode 42 - Records tumble as Saints win with fourteen tries in a Friday Night Lights Prem Rugby special
    2026/05/17

Where Claire and Lis are so over excited they record the pod early - we celebrate one of the most remarkable wins ever seen at the Gardens. Two teams fighting for the top four in the Gallagher PREM but only one will want to remember this match.

We started the week at the Gardens at training where the weather played its part and the lads were working hard. Before the game, Lis reveals she was working hard too as a Halo. Meanwhile, Claire was learning more about what people do whilst listening to the pod - apparently, we improve ironing productivity! We also received a lovely gift each from the Hendy family - Lis was swigging hers at half time whilst Claire was drinking in the car park post game - classy!

We do go through every try and it does take a while. We do name our LWP Player of the Match but we have the opposite of the Sgt Wilson award - you’ll have to listen to understand.

Amazingly, Dave on the sofa was busy all week - we keep you all briefed of some of the stranger things Dave has been saying.

And we do reveal what Ellis Genge said to Elliot Millar Mills this time!

  • Ladies Wot Pod Series 2!! Episode 41 - Saints still top of the PREM - the Ladies deliver a therapy pod!
    2026/05/12

A double therapy pod where we talk about the games in Leicester and west London. We recognise the challenges that defeats can bring particularly for family and friends. But we always find something to smile about whether it’s the mascot race, a referee with a fine tache or a player with a case of the disappearing or reappearing bandage. And when all said and done, the Saints are still top of the Prem.

We do award the LWP Player of the Match. Sgt Wilson went for a day off.

On other subjects, we talk about our trip to training where Saints were visited by an important guest. Claire headed off to Goldington Road to shoot this season’s Bedford Blues team photos - great fun where the girls definitely beat the boys!

And we do have some Walking Rugby and Towcester U8s and U11s news.

And we look forward to the run in - Claire does have a but of a rant!

We celebrated a retiring Saintsman. Claire’s Facebook memories brought back a photo of the A League winners in 2017 - some familiar but very young faces! • Ladies Wot Pod Series 2!! Episode 39 - Saints win it at the death at again to stay top of the PREM!
    2026/04/28

Where Claire and Lis talk about another busy week of rugby news. We congratulate James Pater on his new contract. Another trip to training where we watched the lads prepare for the visit of Bath and saw the return of the nose strip on one player. We do talk about the game because strangely this has to be a therapy pod even though the Saints won a celebratory therapy pod. There’s a lot to talk about during the game - cameramen, togs being hit by players (everyone is ok!), the question of the role of the weather particularly the sun and the two ‘tries’ that were chalked off.

We do have another Dave on the sofa section - he must be exhausted because he was very busy this week. And Claire has a proper rant about chickens being counted! And she also talks about the Defender Rising Stars U12s Cup which was held this weekend at the Gardens.

We talk Women’s Six Nations and do a round up of Towcester U8s and U11s news.

Lis talk about the results of the Saints Supporters’ Club meeting.

And even though the Saints aren’t playing this weekend, there’s a huge game at Goldington Road as the Blues take on Chinnor. There’s a home semi-final at stake. Get yourself down there and cheer on the Blues - some of whom are Saintsmen.

We did in the end do our homework -sigh….

It’s a bumper edition so the horses and dog walkers will be happy!

Where Claire and Lis talk about another busy week of rugby news. First up we had sheep news at training and news of Jim Henry’s Lemon Drizzle cake. The next round of the Gallagher PREM saw the Saints head west to Sandy Park - what we witnessed was the perfect example of the team’s resilience.
