Former NHLer & Home By 3 podcast co-host Jordan Schmaltz joined Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill to dish on all things Leafs.

Before diving into Toronto, Schmaltz recapped his experience cranking the siren at a Vegas Golden Knights game on Thursday night. From there, the conversation shifted to Mitch Marner—how he’s looked lately, his first season in Vegas, and the age-old question: who misses who more—Marner or Auston Matthews?

Schmaltz also weighed in on Matthews’ future, floating the idea of Utah as a potential dark horse destination if both sides ever decide it’s time for a change. He then touched on the futures of Brad Treliving and Craig Berube, and who could replace them if the Leafs opt to shake things up—mentioning Doug Armstrong, whom he played for in St. Louis.

To wrap things up, Schmaltz discussed William Nylander’s up-and-down season and shared his expectations for how the Leafs will respond in their first matchup against Radko Gudas on Monday night in Anaheim following the Matthews knee-on-knee incident.
