The Minnesota Twins season is here, and so are David, Dan and Hoges with their predictions and analysis. Hoges has little optimism left and expects that the Twins will trade their best players by mid summer. David thinks the best hope the Twins have is in their long-haired second baseman. Dan has hope that the Twins' current plan at shortstop is going to work out better than its plan did last year. As the guys look over the schedule, David points to May 10 as a key date. With just a few days to go before the season opener, David and Dan discuss the end of the World Baseball Classic, the 2026 rule changes and the final shuffling of the Minnesota Twins roster. Dan thinks the WBC should be moved to an extended All-Star Break; David thinks the rule changes mostly make sense. The World Baseball Classic is heading into the quarterfinals after a round of pool play that was memorable for many reasons, including the "misspeak" by Team USA manager Mark DeRosa. David and Dan do the math themselves and discuss whether they are rooting for the juggernaut or the underdog the rest of the way. Dan has a complaint about his new hat; David is focused more on the glut of lefthanded players on the Minnesota Twins roster.
