概要

In this episode, we continue exploring the challenging words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, focusing on Matthew 5:21–30 from the Sermon on the Mount. When Jesus announced that the Kingdom of God had arrived, He wasn’t offering a motivational speech or telling people they were already doing great. Instead, He revealed the true standard of God’s kingdom—a standard that reaches far deeper than outward actions and exposes the condition of the heart.

In this teaching, we look at how Jesus moves beyond the command “do not murder” to confront anger, insults, and unresolved conflict. He calls His followers to pursue reconciliation quickly and to take sin seriously before it grows into bitterness and destruction. We also examine Jesus’ teaching on lust and how He raises the standard from outward adultery to the intentions of the heart.

Throughout this passage, Jesus speaks with divine authority, showing that the citizens of God’s kingdom are called to radical holiness. From dealing with anger before the sun goes down to guarding our eyes and minds, Christ calls believers to reject casual attitudes toward sin and instead pursue what is true, pure, and honorable.

This episode challenges listeners to ask a hard question: Are we living by the standards of God’s kingdom, or the standards of the world? Jesus’ words remind us that sin is never trivial—and following Him requires a serious, wholehearted pursuit of righteousness.
