概要

 Welcome to the home of forgotten films. Each week, Joe Devine & Adam Richmond discuss a different film that they’ve seen before, but forgotten existed. They discuss cinema, memory, culture and history - as well as play silly games about cheese, budgets, and re-casting.

Listeners needn’t have seen the film, but are welcome to watch (or re-watch) before episodes for a different perspective. And at the end of each show, Adam & Joe read out forgotten film lists to each other, to find the film that becomes the focus for next week’s episode. アート

    It’s canon episode 100, the listener-picked film: Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, released is the hazy mists of time: 2001.

    The much-loved first film in Peter Jackson’s Middle Earth trilogy finally gets its due on MYFF. It’s one of Joe’s faves of all time - he says it’s art. Adam is a little more chilly on it, has this rewatch softened his heart and made him an admirer?

    They discuss the love and craft that went into the flick, the beautiful Balrog, Sean Bean’s film-stealing Boromir, the wrong lesson Hollywood learned from Lotr’s boffo box office and cultural impact, plus the artistic folly of going back to recapture magic, and lots lots more.
