  • Music and Technique Always Coexist Like DNA, Never Layered - An Interview with Amit Peled
    2026/06/18

🎶Is there a good time, a better time to start being musical? When are we "off" the hook from learning the "technique"? Is it always the same balance that is balancing that scale or does it ebb and flow depending on where we are in the journey? I sit down with Amit Peled international Soloist and teacher at Peabody conservatory to tackle this and other questions when it comes to listening as professionals.

  • A Sound Has Many Parts
    2026/06/05

🎶 This episode dives into the idea that a sound contains many parts, that there are different aspects to a musical note and certain parts attract certain listeners. We all hear differently and one of the chief reasons for that is that there are so many different things to hear in just one single note, a single sound. Why don't we know more about this and more importantly why don't we do more to incorporate what we do know into our pedagogical practices in music programs.

  • Moving Toward Sound
    2026/05/21

How do your fingers actually make it to the notes? Is it muscle memory? Is it connection to just the repetition? Or is your brain remembering where and how sounds happen and moving towards them directly, no middle man no filter.

This episode explores this idea that a movement toward producing a musical sound is a unique physical motion.
