  • Season 4, Episode 4: David Bednar
    2026/04/02
Every moment that a closer is on the mound makes for something of a hot seat, so for David Bednar, sitting down for an interview with Yankees Magazine deputy editor Jon Schwartz for the New York Yankees Official Podcast was hardly a challenge worth noting. But still, the Yankees’ closer, who came over in a deadline deal last year, prefers to do his talking on the field. Quiet and mild-tempered, yet quick to laugh, Bednar has been a force out of the bullpen for his new team, and he chats with Schwartz about leaving his hometown squad to pitch for a winner, rising from the depths of the MLB Draft’s 35th round and pitching for Team USA in the last two World Baseball Classics. Plus, YES Network’s Meredith Marakovits chats with Jon about the first week of the season, the weather forecasts in the Bronx and much, much more. Lastly, we send it to the New York Yankees Museum Presented by Bank of America, where senior museum curator gets us ready for the home opener with stories about Yankees who hit two blasts in their season debuts. Don’t forget, the New York Yankees Official Podcast is also available in video form on the Gotham Sports App. Check us out! And if you have questions you’d like Meredith to get answers to, send them to podcast@yankees.com. This week’s episode is brought to you by Nissan. Get out there and find your Frontier. • Season 3, Episode 22: Ryan Yarbrough
    2026/01/29

  • Season 3, Episode 21: Homer Bush
    2026/01/15
What’s the old commercial? “With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good?” Well, with a name like Homer, you’ve basically got to be a baseball player. And years after he retired, Homer Bush is still living out the fantasy that saw him smack in the middle of the action for the 1998 Yankees, one of the greatest teams of all time. The always-happy alum is still showing up at Old-Timers’ Day and as a coach during Yankees fantasy camps, and he sat down with YES Network’s Meredith Marakovits to discuss his memories of 1998, his own trajectory in the game and the stress that comes with watching your own son (Rays prosect Homer Jr.) chase his own dreams. Then, Meredith is joined by Yankees Magazine deputy editor Jon Schwartz for a chat about Carlos Beltrán’s Hall of Fame prospects, and the excitement that comes with covering the all-time greats. Finally, we send it to the New York Yankees Museum presented by Bank of America, where senior museum curator Brian Richards turns to a chapter about longtime Yankees coach Jim Turner. • Season 3, Episode 19: Adam Warren
    2025/12/04
We’re back in Tampa this week for another episode of the New York Yankees Official Podcast on the road! Yankees Magazine deputy editor Jon Schwartz and YES Network’s Meredith Marakovits have loads to say from the heart of the organization’s winter refuge, where former Yankee Adam Warren stopped by during a break from coaching the team’s fantasy camp last month. The incomparably friendly reliever has plenty to say about his life in retirement, what he has learned from coaching young kids (and sure, from working with fantasy camp players, as well). He also spills some tea on the toughest hitters he ever had to face. Then, Meredith and Jon catch you up on everything happening around the team with the Winter Meetings right around the corner, including a visit from a special guest at the annual Steinbrenner Children’s Holiday Concerts in Tampa — no, not Santa Claus (although the big man in red was there, too), but we’re talking about Aaron Judge. Finally, we send it to the New York Yankees Museum presented by Bank of America, where senior museum curator Brian Richards opens a chapter of the History Books about the biggest trade in Yankees history.
