  • After the Break
    2026/05/19

    Season one is complete.

Larry’s boots are officially on the ground. The exhibition is in progress.

Noe has a camera being built in pursuit of something less perfect and more alive. Images that feel technically wrong and emotionally undeniable.

    And the podcast?

    Maybe it comes back.

Maybe it disappears for a while.

Not a Photo Podcast was never meant to be content on a schedule. It was always about conversations worth recording when they appeared.

    For now, that’s enough.

    Not a Photo Podcast.

See you when we see you.

  • Larry has an update.
    2026/05/12

    Larry has made his decision.

In this episode of Not a Photo Podcast, Larry sits down with Noe to reveal the camera he chose for his upcoming exhibition — unpacking what pulled him toward it, how it aligns with the work he’s making, and what the selection process actually looked like behind the scenes.

More than a gear conversation, this episode gets into intention. Into output. Into the relationship between the tool and the body of work it’s meant to serve.

If you’ve ever found yourself caught between chasing specs and following vision, this one hits differently.

  • Intentionality
    2026/05/05

    Episode 5 — Intentionality

What does it actually mean to create with purpose? In this episode, Noe and Larry get into the conversation creatives avoid... the difference between making work and making meaningful work.

They talk about why passion alone isn’t enough, what it looks like when your art exists beyond the algorithm, and how to find your quiet space in a loud content landscape.

Because your work is bigger than your metrics, and it deserves to live like it.

Not a Photo Podcast — conversations beyond the frame.

    2026/04/28

You built the brand. You curate the feed. But is any of it actually you? Can you showcase who you truly are and still build an audience? Do the people want the curated image or do they want the real you?

When keep it real goes wrong.

  • Shooting for Later
    2026/04/21

Noe and Larry are back catching up, and it gets honest fast.

Where are we with Larry’s grant.

Noe not wanting to pick up the camera... Anhedonia from the GLP1s?

Then the social media conversation nobody wants to admit to. We’re not feeling it right now. But here’s the real question: is it the platform, or is it posting into the void?

And AI. It’s not going anywhere. So what’s it gonna be, fight it or figure it out?

    Between Burnout and Breakthrough

One host is stuck. One is building toward his next exhibition. We get honest about where we actually are creatively and why that gap between burnout and breakthrough is harder to close than it looks.

We talk social media, the real pros and cons of using it to land clients, the noise, the competition, and what it costs you creatively.

  • Deleted Rants, Grants & Ghost Talk... ???
    2026/04/03

First episode and we’re already all over the place. Noe and Larry talk about starting the podcast, Noe almost goes off on a photographer (you won’t hear it), and Larry talks about getting a grant from the city of Austin. From there it spirals into The Backrooms, fear, ghosts, and whether any of this is even real.
