Clips circulated on social media of GM Andrew Berry negotiating and ultimately turning down a trade with the Cowboys. On Tuesday’s Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe talked about what they learned from seeing Berry work and his decision to pass on a deal that would have netted him picks 12 and 20 in exchange for nine and 24. They talk about why it made sense for Berry to turn down the deal and how it showed his ability to both acquire draft capital but also know when it’s the right time to pick a player.
