    This week Erik and Aidan recap the Monte Carlo Masters tournament, the first Masters 1000 event on clay this year. While many people expected Alcaraz to be the favorite in this surface matchup, it ended up being Sinner who rose to the occasion and collected the hardware in the principality.   • Ep. 151 - Sinner and Alcaraz DOMINATE Clay Openers / Kicking off the Clay Season

    This week Erik and Aidan recap three different ATP 250 tournaments which occurred over this past week. In Houston, Tommy Paul was able to capture the title 10 years after having won his first ATP match in the same tournament. In Marrakech, teenage Spaniard Rafael Jodar was able to place himself in an elite group of Spanish players by collecting the title here, while in Bucharest it was Navone that rose to the occasion. Now in Monte Carlo, the tournament is already underway. Based on the opening rounds, it seems that Sinner and Alcaraz are already on a collision course in their return to clay.     This week Erik and Aidan recap the Miami Masters, the biggest story of the tournament being simply the dominance of Jannik Sinner. Sinner has now won 3 straight Masters 1000 events without dropping a single set. Now, going into the clay season, he is completely on fire. Meanwhile, the surprise run from Jiri Lehecka seemed to be a positive sign for his top 10 ambitions, while Arthur Fils showed that he is fully back from the injury that held him out last year.     This week Erik and Aidan discuss a few of the tournaments that that took place across the globe last week. In Dubai, Medvedev had a relatively easy run to the final where he was slated to play Talon Griekspoor before Griekspoor withdrew from the final with an injury. In Acapulco, the top seeds floundered and Flavio Cobolli rose to the occasion, defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final. Then in South America, another Italian Luciano Darderi emerged as the champion to wrap up the Golden Swing in South America. In Doha, Alcaraz rose to the challenge and proved why he is the world number one while Sinner faltered, losing to Jakub Mensik in an early round match. In Rio, there was chaos as lower ranked players made shock runs deep in the tournament. Finally, in Del Ray beach it was an all american showdown with Korda collecting a big title to get his year back on track.
