This episode started with me completely losing my train of thought… but somehow it became one of the most powerful and authentic conversations I’ve ever had on the podcast.
I’m joined by the lovely Wendy from our AuDHD community to talk openly about perimenopause, late diagnosis, masking, burnout, identity, and the reality of discovering you’re neurodivergent later in life.
Wendy is a psychologist specialising in neurodiversity, as well as a senior HR professional, and she shares both her professional insight and lived experience of being diagnosed as AuDHD after perimenopause. We discuss the struggles she faced in school and work before understanding herself, and how she’s now using her experiences to support other neurodivergent people.
This conversation is raw, honest, validating, emotional, and deeply relatable for anyone navigating ADHD, autism, perimenopause, or late diagnosis.
Topics include:
- Perimenopause & neurodivergence
- Late diagnosed AuDHD
- ADHD & autism in women
- Masking & burnout
- Emotional overwhelm
- Workplace struggles
- Self-understanding & healing
If you’ve ever felt like you were “too much,” “not coping,” or suddenly struggling in ways you couldn’t explain — this episode is for you.
