In this episode, Greg shares some of the hobbies he enjoys and highlights the importance of finding fulfillment outside of work. Nearly a year ago, he developed a passion for collecting vintage German beer steins dating from the 1880–1940 period, with a particular appreciation for pieces from Villeroy & Boch’s Mettlach line. In addition to steins, Greg has also grown to enjoy collecting other pottery and ceramics, with interests ranging from Rookwood to Van Briggle.

Greg also enjoys reading thriller novels and spending time walking in nature, finding both to be meaningful ways to relax and recharge.

Just as a potter uses steel wool to gently brush away the carbon and soot left behind after the Raku firing process, God works in us through the fires we endure — refining, shaping, and revealing beauty we could not see before.

The cracks are not signs of ruin; they are evidence of the fire. The smoke is not a flaw; it is part of the story.
