There was a full turn out of the podcast team at Saturday's game, so Chris has taken over hosting for this week's episode.

We look back at Saturday's game and the post-game sesh before looking forward to Sunday's semi. Despite the win the mood in the camp isn't particularly cheery. We take the opportunity to look at each department of the team and in truth there's not a lot of positivity in that regard either.

We hold our own POTY award and goal of the season and it's slim pickings and no mistake.

There's a quick discussion about the Haughey Monorail proposal, and it's clear that for the two ST holders on the pod, some further details will be required before they are likely to get involved.

A sneaky attempt to ambush the host when we get to the RGC nomination is thwarted by the host throwing himself under the bus.

As always, we are grateful for all the positive feedback (and the less-than-positive feedback, too) feel free to spread the word to the miserable aul' b******ds in your lives

Finally, a win in Dundee means there's a bit of a change in the mood from the last pod after a game up there.

We go over the events of a welcome win at Dens, look forward to Saturday's game, and discuss the potential post-split fixtures, too.

Our man Paul chaired the most recent Collective meeting, so he gives a little update from Thursday's meeting.

Martin's suggestion that he would be open to a longer stay gives us a reason to discuss his staying on for another year. It's fair to say there's not a lot of enthusiasm at that prospect.

Paul and Chris go two-footed on the "media hoor" host who has been hawking his half-arsed opinions on various media outlets this week.

The RGC is unanimous, although had Chris caught events pre-match on camera, he'd have had this week's RGC in the bag as well as £250 from You've Been Framed

  • Nothing if not interesting...
    2026/03/30

As it's International week, we took the opportunity to record a special episode with a friend of the pod and all-round GC, Stuart Braithwaite, leader aff from the least shite Glasgow band, Mogwai.

After we establish his RGC and Celtic credentials, we get his view on the current state of affairs at Celtic and his thoughts on the season so far.

Paul gives us a little update ahead of Thursday's collective meeting and we express our frustration at the recent interview by The Anfield Wrap at Lennoxtown of Oxlade-Chamberlain at a time when our own fan media is banned.

Not a good look in our book.

    Thanks as always for listening

It won't surprise you to hear that the mood of this episode is somewhat different from the last two weeks. Chris and Paul get the opportunity to vent about the game, which hopefully they found cathartic.

We asked semi-regular contributor Davie Farrell to join us to give some informed content on Sunday's shambles from a coaching perspective. Spoiler alert - It's a grim listen.

In fact, the whole episode is pretty downbeat, but I can't imagine you would expect anything less.

The struggle to identify an RGC is solved by a great story from Davie about a "special" bus driver.

As always, thank you for your continued support, this week more than most weeks, we appreciate it

  • Grifting The Night Away...
    2026/03/16

There's plenty of cheeriness to go round this week. A good result and a half-decent performance against the best-coached team in the league keeps everyone in a good mood.

The mood is so good that Chris graciously allows Paul to take the second half of Saturday's game, meaning he didn't get the poisoned chalice for once.

There's a chuckle about the game in Kilmarnock on Saturday night, even though it did have a whiff of Sophie's Choice about it, thanks to the respective managers of the teams involved.

We have a chat about this weekend's fixtures, and there's some (muted) praise for the pod's favourite ex-Celt Steven Pressley. Incredible #scenes.

There's a bit of an update from Paul about the Green Brigade ban which is an interesting listen

We finish with an explanation of why we are changing the parameters of the RGC award. The curse is just too powerful

  • All's well that ends well
    2026/03/09

It won't surprise you to hear that there's some cheeriness among the three contributors.

There's a deep dive into the game at Pittodrie (No' really) and we discuss a few of Chris's previous jobs, before moving on to events at Ibrox. Both Paul and Chris were at the game, so we talked penalties, competition winners, and a podcast exclusive on the location of one of our strikers on Sunday.

Then we have some Kate Adie-style reporting from the boys about the events post-shoot-out.

We round it off with a chat about the Motherwell game and then Sunday's game gives us our RGC.

As we always say, thank you for your continued support, and if you know anyone who you think is in our demographic, why not send them a text, apparently that's what the cool kids are doing these days.

  • Come for the fitba', stay for the politics...
    2026/03/02

First pod in a while where we have the luxury of only talking about the football. Stuttgart and "Thaym" away, and the upcoming league and cup games.

In addition to talking about the games, we started our own conspiracy theory about the FDC being nowhere to be seen on Sunday despite the fact that his jersey did make the trip to Govan.

Talking of Govan, there's a plug for the fundraiser for a statue of Jim Craig, and a cracking bit of politics from Paul at the death.

This week's RGC was up for grabs for a while. A tyre repair man, an HGV driver were in the mix but eventually it was someone filling one of the contributors full of free drink that won out in the end.

After last week's pod title unfortunately turned out to be bang on the money we revisited the question of the goalkeeper.

After an absolute shocker of a week on the park we moved away from our usual format and basically had a moan-in for half of the episode. The keeper, the defence, the midfield and the forward line all get a bit of a shoeing as does the manager.

There is concern about the upcoming games, and we discuss what we think should happen if the results don't go our way. It's not a particularly upbeat episode

It was also a big week off the park, and Paul gives a first-hand account of the recent meeting between the Steering Group and the board. It doesn't lift the mood of the pod too much in fairness.

We head overseas for this week's RGC, as there really was no obvious candidate after an absolutely shocking week.

As always, thanks for your support. We really appreciate each and every listener, and if you have a hospitality box, offer it to someone else.
