Welcome to the Rising Tribes Podcast — where raw conversations meet real growth.

Hosted by two former professional athletes turned husbands, fathers, and high-performance leaders, this is the podcast for people who look like they’ve got it all together… but still carry the silent weight of pressure, expectation, and self-doubt.

We talk about what most people only think about — the stuff that lives in your chest and keeps you up at night. From marriage and parenting to sex, business, faith, fitness, money, mental health, and the quiet battle of “am I enough?” — nothing is off-limits here.

Alongside our wives and powerful guests, we’re building a tribe of everyday warriors who are deeply rooted in character and relentlessly rising in every area of life.

This isn’t therapy. It’s not self-help fluff.
It’s honest, bold, unfiltered conversation — with people who get it.

Because the strongest tribes don’t fake it. They rise together.

We get honest about the hardest pillar in our discipline series: family, and the ways ambition and exhaustion can quietly pull us away from the people we love most. We share mistakes we have made, the lies we hear the most, and the simple habits that help us lead at home with more presence and purpose.

    • physical presence without mental presence and why leftovers damage connection
    • bringing the same intentionality home that we bring to work
    • treating your spouse like a problem to solve instead of someone to pursue
    • spotting the danger of “no conflict” and naming issues before resentment builds
    • date nights that work in real life and why a drive or walk counts
    • screen time escape and practical ways to reduce phone distraction
    • rethinking “moderation” and choosing what deserves your attention
    • common family lies like “they won’t remember” and “providing is enough”
    • parenting rhythms that matter: one-on-one time, routines, prayer, values
    • a simple weekly marriage check-in with questions to stay aligned

Please subscribe, follow along. We’ve got week three next week of fitness, and then week four of leadership. So keep following along. If you missed week one, faith, take a listen

  • The Daily Habits That Change Everything

    Discipline Series

We kick off our discipline series by starting with the faith pillar and getting honest about why “perfect routines” usually backfire. We share simple ways to build a daily devotional and prayer habit that survives busy mornings, plus how faith should shape our decisions at home and at work.

    • why faith discipline is hard to measure but easy to neglect
    • building a morning routine with Proverbs and a daily devotional
    • praying with your spouse when it feels awkward
    • using habit stacking and the “Bible cold bar” to stay consistent
    • avoiding reactive prayer and making space for silence
    • letting faith anchor decisions in the workplace through conviction
    • where to start reading if you’re new to Scripture
    • a four-week framework to go from zero to rhythm

We launched the wait list for rising tribes, the link is in the show notes.

  • Why The Process Matters More Than The Result

Why The Process Matters More Than The Result

Wanting the result is easy. Wanting the process is where everything gets real. We start with a blunt James Clear quote that cuts through excuses: if you don’t want to live the lifestyle, release yourself from the desire. From there, we connect the same principle to the stuff we’re all living right now: kids’ sports schedules, the way parenting time moves without a pause button, and how quickly “we’ll have time later” turns into years gone by.

We also get practical about boundaries, especially around screen time. One of us shares what it looks like to trust a teenager with freedom, watch it go sideways, and then reintroduce limits without shame, just clarity. That leads into the bigger point for adults: nobody is coming to shut the TV off, plan your meals, or force you to work out. If you want change, you have to build accountability on purpose, through your marriage, your friendships, or a coach who won’t sell you a fantasy.

Then we tackle the question we hear all the time: “What’s your secret?” The honest answer is years, consistency, and compound progress. We talk about why most people grind for 35 to 60 days and drift for 300, how to replace autopilot with intentional choices, and why comparison and “genetics” talk often become a cover for avoiding the work. The goal isn’t a perfect plan, it’s becoming the kind of man who follows through.

If you’re ready to get around better people and stay the course, we also share what we’re building with the Rising Tribes Network and how to join the waitlist. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more men can find the conversation.
