On today’s episode of Midday Missing, host Teri True Crime shares the story of Vannita Mayberry, who vanished from Fort Worth, Texas on March 6, 1997, and Nicole "Nikki" Winder, who vanished from Brazos County, Texas on February 25, 2026.
Their disappearances remain heartbreaking mysteries. As we dive into the timeline, known facts, and search efforts, we hope to keep Vannita's and Nikki's stories alive and bring awareness to their cases.
💔 Vannita Mayberry – Vannita disappeared after making a phone call to a friend requesting a ride home. Her four dogs were later found unattended at her residence, and neither Vannita nor the gray Hyundai Accent she was driving have ever been located.
💔 Nicole "Nikki" Winder – Nikki vanished after leaving work in rural Brazos County, Texas. Approximately one hour later, her truck was discovered intentionally burned at an oil pad, and despite extensive searches involving multiple agencies, Nikki remains missing.
