  • You Had A Finished Basement??
    2026/06/12

    Send us a Message

This week on Sadie and Scott, we’re talking about the things we thought meant someone was rich when we were kids.

Fridges with ice dispensers. Finished basements. Brand-name cereal. Movie theatre snacks. A second phone line. If someone had a garage fridge full of pop, they were basically royalty.

Sadie and Scott break down the childhood status symbols that made us think another family had officially “made it.” Plus, we play Rich or Ridiculous?, read listener submissions, and talk about a bizarre story involving an accidental house purchase.

It’s nostalgic, ridiculous, and probably going to make you remember the one friend whose house had all the good snacks.

  • Are Your Pants On Fire?

    Everyone tells little lies.

Not the big dramatic ones that ruin families or end up in documentaries. We mean the tiny, everyday lies we all tell just to get through adulthood without explaining ourselves too much.

This week on Sadie and Scott, we talk about the harmless little lies people pretend are completely normal, like “I’m five minutes away,” “Sorry, just saw this,” “Let’s definitely get together soon,” and “I’ll start eating better on Monday.”

We dig into why we lie about being busy, why nobody ever actually wants to “circle back,” and why “I’m on my way” usually means someone is still looking for their shoes.

We also play Truth or Total Lie, read listener submissions about the lies people tell every day, and discuss an AITA from Reddit. Spoiler, we agreed with the poster, which almost made us feel like responsible adults.

Plus, Scott teaches Sadie some big words, because apparently this is an educational podcast now. Sort of. He also tells a really boring Costco story.

They can't all be gems, folks.

  • Behind the Ring Light with Influencer Renee Leblanc
    2026/05/21

    Send us a Message

This week on Sadie and Scott, we’re joined by Toronto based lifestyle creator Renee LeBlanc for a funny and honest look at life online, family content, brand deals, mom hacks, and what really happens behind the perfectly framed post.We talk about how Renee became a creator, what people misunderstand about influencer life, how she decides what to share, and why some of the most ordinary parts of life can become the content people connect with most. Scott and Sadie also try to figure out whether they could ever survive as influencers, what their personal “brand” would be, and whether a Sunday reset is real self-care or just moving clutter into prettier baskets.

It’s mom life, online earning, brand deals, real life, and a lot of questions about baskets.

  • The Anniversary Episode Nobody Asked For
    2026/05/16

    Send us a Message

It’s our anniversary episode, which means we are celebrating the only way we know how: by looking back, making fun of ourselves, and asking how this show made it this far.

In this episode of Sadie and Scott, we talk about the strange little milestone of surviving another year of podcasting, play a game called “Let’s Test Sadie’s Memory,” and decide whether past segments were real or something Scott made up. We also read anniversary messages from listeners, debate the traditional anniversary gifts we definitely do not deserve, and discuss the kind of surprise party that would send us directly into cardiac arrest.

It’s part celebration, part roast, and part evidence that better microphones do not necessarily mean better judgment.

Happy anniversary to us, and thanks for being here for the harmless nonsense.

  • The One Where Sadie F&$#%d Off on a Cruise
    2026/05/07

    Send us a Message

Sadie is back, and apparently we are all supposed to pretend she did not abandon the show for two weeks to float around on a cruise ship eating buffet shrimp and living her best international-waters life.

This week on Sadie and Scott, we kick things off with Sadie’s cruise debrief, then launch a brand-new segment called Ask Sadie, where listeners ask for advice about dishwasher crimes, eight-minute voice notes, loud-breathing husbands, school craft guilt, and the office monster who microwaves fish.

We also revisit a topic we mentioned before: different names for your period from around the world, including strawberry week, ketchup week, Aunt Red, blood festival, and possibly the greatest phrase ever created, “communists in the gazebo.”

Plus, we cover the deeply chaotic world of cheese rolling, where people voluntarily throw themselves down a hill chasing a wheel of cheese, and we play a new game called Things You Can Say in the ____ That You Can’t Say in the ____.

No politics, no doom, just cruises, bad advice, weird sayings, questionable games, and two friends making each other laugh.

  • Sweating, Forgetting, and Slightly Confused
    2026/04/16

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott and Sadie take on a topic they quickly realize they do not fully understand… menopause...well, Sadie does.

What starts as a casual conversation turns into a deep dive into hot flashes, brain fog, sleep struggles, mood swings, and the many things no one really explains ahead of time.

Along the way, they play a game of “Menopause or Made It Up,” investigate real-life scenarios in their version of a “Law and Order: Menopause Unit,” and try to figure out what’s actually happening versus what just feels like chaos.

It’s funny, honest, and a little eye-opening, especially when they realize how little most people actually know about it.

If you’ve ever wondered what menopause really looks like, or thought “that can’t be normal”… this episode might help.

  • OMG!!! We're Vintage Now?
    2026/04/12

    Send us a Message

This week, Scott and Sadie talk about AI, the helpful parts, the weird parts, and whether any of us are really ready for how normal it has become.

Then they take on the slightly offensive realization that a lot of the stuff we grew up with is now old enough to be considered vintage. From Walkmans and Polaroids to shoulder pads and Trapper Keepers, nothing is safe.

To close things out, Sadie plays a game where she has to guess whether bizarre Canadian town names are real or completely fake. Spoiler, Canada is a very strange place.

    Hello Friends!

Scott and Sadie are joined this week by Lisa Zawrotny, host of the Positively Living Podcast and founder of Positively Productive Systems, for a conversation that is part productivity coaching, part life reset, and part gentle intervention for Sadie.

Scott, of course, is doing just fine.

Together, they talk about overwhelm, burnout, routines that actually work in real life, and why trying to do everything perfectly is usually the fastest way to lose your mind. Lisa brings practical, shame-free advice for getting more done without becoming a stressed-out disaster, while Scott does his best to keep things on track and Sadie continues to be a wonderful case study.

It’s funny, honest, relatable, and packed with smart ideas for anyone who feels like life has turned into one long to-do list.

Lisa’s work is through Positively Productive Systems, and her website is https://positivelyproductive.com/
