Mark David Pullen is the author of middle grade series The Oasis Chronicles. His debut novel, The Oasis King, was released this year and his second book Freedom Through the Narrow Gate will release in September. Being the boy who sought after adventure and escape, he would use his imagination to create strange characters and unique far-away worlds. Some of those strange characters and far away lands cemented themselves into his mind and later became part of the firm foundation for his writing style. He currently lives in Upstate New York with his wife, two children, and crazy pup Toby. Mark is a proud member of the ACFW Organization. His debut novel, The Oasis King, received an honorable mention in the New York State Book Festival as well as a PenCraft Literary Award. Mark is an avid cook and can often be found playing 90s video games.

His stated purpose is to teach biblical values such as faith, hope, and resilence through dynamic stories. He hopes that kids who may need an escape from their struggles could find refuge in a book and see how my characters overcome their obstacles. I also pride myself on writing stories that families can read together and spend time with one another while reading.

  • Coop Knows the Scoop by Taryn Souders
    2026/03/13

The whole town is talking about what's buried beneath the playground...

Windy Bottom, Georgia is usually a peaceful place. Coop helps his mom at her café and bookstore, hangs out with his grandpa, bikes around with his friends Justice and Liberty, and is determined to live up to his dad's legacy. Windy Bottom is full of all kinds of interesting people, but no one has ever caused a problem. Until now.

And somehow, Gramps is taking all the blame! It seems like there are a lot of secrets that were buried in their small town after all...

Will Coop and his friends get to the bottom of the mystery and clear Gramps's name before it's too late?

You will love Coop Knows The Scoop if you are looking for:

    • Mystery books for kids 9-12

    • Heartfelt and quirky stories for young readers

    • Kids detective books

    • 5th-grade mystery books

Taryn never planned to be a writer— she was a middle school math teacher for a couple of years. But, being a voracious reader as a kid gave her a love for words (and working with middle-schoolers gave her a sense of humor).

It seemed like a good idea to combine the two (words and humor) and voila, her first book was born. Truthfully, the first book was a fluke. She sat down to write a poem about Moses and ended up writing a fraction book about a cow. Who knew?

It worked so well the first time, she has continued to try writing poetry and has ended up with a book each time! Ok. Not really. But, she does enjoy the writing process so much, that she kept with it and has enjoyed some success along the way.

  • Mystery in Crooked Creek Woods by Amanda Cleary Eastep
    2026/02/27

Book four in the Tree Street Kids series: Something fishy is going on in Crooked Creek Woods. Does it have anything to do with the weird lights coming from Ruthie’s neighbor’s yard? Or are the kids’ imaginations running away with them?

After all, Jack and Ellison have been hard at work writing a mystery. The Tree Street Kids decide to investigate. Not only do they discover what’s been hidden for centuries in the woods, they also learn about placing their trust in the adults who love and care for them . . . but not before placing themselves in peril.

Adventures, friendships, and faith-testers . . . all under the watchful eye of a great big God.

The Tree Street Kids live on Cherry, Oak, Maple, and Pine, but their 1990s suburban neighborhood is more than just quiet, tree-lined streets. Jack, Ellison, Roger, and Ruthie face challenges and find adventures in every creek and cul-de-sac—as well as God’s great love in one small neighborhood.

In the book series, set in the 1990s in the suburbs of Chicago, Amanda Cleary Eastep invites kids to be part of a group of friends who face challenges that don’t extend too far beyond the borders of their neighborhood.

By engaging readers’ imaginations, her hope is that they will laugh, learn, and grow in their faith right along with the Tree Street Kids and their families. The opportunity for diverse friendships may not have been as common in the suburbs in the ’90s as they are today, but Amanda wants to encourage kids, wherever they live, to be open to having friendships that reflect the diversity of the Creator.

Amanda Cleary Eastep is not related to Beverly Cleary but wishes she were. She is, however, a children’s writer, and the Tree Street Kids is her debut series. Amanda knows kids because she’s still one at heart. When she is forced to act like an adult, she edits nonfiction books by grown-up authors.

Amanda’s children’s writing has been published in Ladybug, The Friend, Sunday school curriculum, and at Story Warren. As a longtime writer, she’s contributed to Christianity Today, Think Christian, and many other print and online publications. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and she leads writing workshops at her local teen center.
