This week on Still Figuring It Out, Josh and Britt dive into one of the hardest parts of parenting: discipline. But the conversation quickly turns into something bigger.
How do we teach our kids self control when we’re still working on it ourselves?
From homework, consequences, and cleaning bedrooms to patience, consistency, and leading by example, we talk honestly about what discipline looks like in our homes. We share stories about raising kids with different personalities, the importance of accountability, and why discipline is about training, not punishment.
Along the way, we also discuss marriage, family routines, funny parenting moments, and the reality that we’re all still growing, just at different stages of life.
Whether you’re a parent, preparing to become one, or simply trying to become more disciplined yourself, we hope this conversation encourages you to keep learning, keep leading, and keep showing up.
As always, we’re just two dads… still figuring it out.
We appreciate y’all listening. If you got something out of this, share it with someone who’s still figuring it out too. We’ll catch y’all next time.
