In this episode of The AI Advantage, host Solomon Williams sits down with Debra Vernon, CEO and Founder of Join Up, to explore one of the most unexpected applications of AI: helping people build stronger relationships.
After more than three decades as a corporate lawyer - and a personal journey through divorce - Debra set out to solve a problem most people avoid until it’s too late. Join Up is a legal-tech platform designed to help couples have honest conversations early, create clear agreements, and prevent misunderstandings from turning into conflict.
Solomon and Debra dive into how AI and digital tools can support communication, accountability, and trust in relationships - while also exploring the broader implications of applying business-like clarity to personal partnerships. They also discuss the challenges of building a company in an unconventional space, and Debra’s mission to make relationship planning as normal as financial planning.
