  • Ep. 25| The Day I Met Jesus - The Original Testimony. Finally on the Podcast.
    2026/04/04

This episode is different. And Josiah wanted you to know that before you press play.

For Episode 25 of The Christian Business Podcast with Josiah Ryan, we are doing something that has never been done on this show. What you are about to hear is not a new recording. This is the original testimony — captured by Josiah shortly after he gave his life to Christ in the summer of 2023. Before the podcast existed. Before the brand existed. Before any of this was built.

    This is where it started.

In his own words, fresh from one of the most defining moments of his life, Josiah tells the full story. A childhood defined by constant moves and instability. The death of a cousin who meant everything to him. A descent into drugs, alcohol, and a crowd so entrenched in the occult that Josiah witnessed possession, demonic activity, and what he describes as invisible forces physically throwing people — with his own eyes. A stint at Teen Challenge, a Christ-centered rehab, where he watched some of the most broken men alive — including a trafficker and pimp in his 80s — hand everything over to Jesus and walk out transformed.

And then July 27, 2023. Doing the dishes. A voice. His knees hit the floor. And a vision that showed him two businesses, a darkening world, thousands of tanks moving in preparation for something massive, spiritual warfare on a scale most people are not ready to face — and one word that has driven every single episode of this show since:

God is calling strong Christian men to lead.

This recording also captures the exact moment God gave Josiah the name of this podcast during a 21-day spiritual fast — and the story of how that name was still available when he searched for it minutes after prayer.

Twenty-five episodes in, you are finally hearing the moment that made all of it possible.

Josiah recorded a special intro for this episode so you understand exactly what you are listening to and why it matters. Then you hear the testimony exactly as it was captured — raw, real, and anointed.

  • Ep. 24| God Is the Ultimate Chess Master (And He Never Loses)
    2026/03/28

What if the worst thing that ever happened to you was actually God setting you up for the biggest breakthrough of your life?

What if the betrayal, the loss, the business collapse—what if all of it was God playing chess 10 moves ahead?

In this episode, Josiah Ryan tells the story of a friend who lost everything the day after his wedding. His business partner—the guy who handled all the client relationships—stole 40 clients overnight. Cut him off from every account. Disappeared with all the revenue. Left him with nothing.

    The day after his wedding.

But here's what makes this story incredible: God knew it was coming. And God was already positioning him for something bigger.

This friend had been building software in the background for a year—AI-powered service software that would change the entire digital marketing industry. But he wasn't ready to go all in. He was still running the agency. He was still playing it safe.

Then his business partner screwed him. And suddenly, he had no choice but to trust God and go all in on the software.

One year later, he met the exact person he needed. The guy with the network, the resources, the skills to take his product to the moon. And now? He's building what Josiah believes could be as big as Facebook—specifically for digital marketing agencies.

God is the ultimate chess master. He never loses. And He knows the game better than you ever will.

What you'll learn in this episode:

The true story of a business owner who lost 40 clients overnight—the day after his wedding Why God allows betrayal, loss, and collapse to position you for breakthrough How God used a devastating partnership betrayal to force this entrepreneur to go all in on his calling What it means that "God is the ultimate chess master" and why He's already 10 moves ahead Why you can't see how the game ends until you finish your race The connection between Matthew 6:33 and trusting God's timing in business Why God's plans require you to be faithful even when you don't understand what's happening How to give yourself grace for being human—and why Jesus lived as a human to show you the way Why your worst moment might be the setup for your greatest blessing

If your business is falling apart, if you've been betrayed by a partner, if you've lost clients or revenue or everything you built—this episode will remind you that the game's not over until it's over.

God knows the future. You don't. All you have to do is be faithful and trust that if you honor Him, He will honor you.

Matthew 6:33 — "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

  • Ep. 23| Are You More Like Judas or Peter? (The Answer Will Surprise You)
    2026/03/21

What if everything you thought you knew about Judas and Peter was wrong?

What if Judas wasn't just greedy—and Peter wasn't just a coward?

What if they were both guilty of the exact same sin—and what if you're guilty of it too?

In this episode, Josiah Ryan breaks down one of the most misunderstood stories in Scripture: the betrayal and denial of Jesus by Judas and Peter. But this isn't the Sunday school version. This is the deep theological context most people miss—and it has everything to do with how you're running your business right now.

Judas didn't betray Jesus just for money. He was trying to force God's hand. He thought Jesus was moving too slow. He thought if he could just put Jesus in a position where He had to prove He was the Messiah, the kingdom would finally kick off. So he took God's plan into his own hands—and it ended in destruction.

Peter didn't deny Jesus three times because he was a coward. He was inside the complex trying to come up with a plan. He was trying to do something—anything—to fix the situation. But in doing so, he was taking God's timing into his own hands. And Jesus told him exactly what would happen.

Both Judas and Peter made the same mistake: they didn't accept God's will. They didn't trust God's timing. They tried to force things instead of surrendering.

And if you're honest, you're probably doing the same thing in your business right now.

What you'll learn in this episode:

Why Judas wasn't just greedy—he was trying to force God to be the earthly Messiah he expected The historical and theological context behind Judas's betrayal that most people miss Why Peter wasn't a coward—he was inside the enemy's complex trying to come up with a plan What it means that "it was determined the Son of Man must die, but woe to the one who betrays Him" (Luke 22:22) The difference between God's sovereign will and human choice—and why both are true How trying to force God's hand in your business leads to destruction What it means to "accept your lot in life" (Ecclesiastes 5) and why that's the key to peace Why you can't force God to do things on your timeline—even if your plan looks better How to stop taking God's plans into your own hands and start trusting His timing

This is deep, challenging, theological content that will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about betrayal, denial, and surrender.

If you've been trying to force God to move faster, open doors that are closed, or build the business you want instead of the one He's calling you to—this episode will set you free.

God's plans are not our own. God's timing is not our own. And if we're trying to force God to fit into places He's not going, we're going to end up exactly where we're not supposed to be.
