  • My NCAA men's basketball recap
    2026/04/07

The 2025-26 men's college basketball season is now over and congrats to the Michigan Wolverines for winning the national championship by defeating UConn 69-63!

Recap of the game, my thoughts on both teams struggles with shooting the ball and how the refs could have impacted the way they played. Michigan gets it going a bit in the 2nd half and never looked back, even with UConn making a mini-run in final minute.

Then, discussion on why Michigan was the most complete team of the season and how they really had no weakness that was enough to exploit. Mix in transfer talk and what it says about Coach Dusty May's coaching with how they put the team together and that it's not a negative towards them.

Finish it up with the Big Ten conference puffing out their chest now with national champions in football, women's basketball and men's basketball.

  • My NCAA women's basketball recap
    2026/04/05

Congrats to the UCLA Bruins women's basketball team on their national championship! I discuss the big win over South Carolina in a dominant performance to win their first championship since 1978. Their 79-51 win was in dominant fashion, I also discuss the South Carolina gamecocks run to the championship game, including the Dawn Staley/Geno Auriemma situation at the end of their game. Then, I talk some highlights including Duke/LSU, Notre Dame's run and Virginia's big win over Iowa.

I close with a general statement on the sport and how it continues to deliver and is still staying strong with viewership and popularity. This was another great tournament with tonsd of excitement and again, congrats to UCLA!!!!

  • My 16 to 8 to 4 March Madness talk
    2026/04/02

We have reached the final four!!! This episode is a recap of both the sweet 16 and elite 8 games along with a preview of the final four.

On top of the results/recaps, I talk about Tom Izzo, is he really a top tiered coach or is Michigan State not a top tiered program? Duke vs UConn recap as well with one of the greatest near buzzer beaters in tournament history as I say my peace to Cadyn Boozer for standing up and taking those tough questions after the game.

Then the final 4 is set, can Dan Hurley win his 3rd championship in 4 years? Can Illinois be the underdog that cuts down the nets? Michigan vs Arizona could be an all-time classic game with the winner being the favorite to win it all! Then finally I pick which team of the 4 will get their "one shining moment" as the 2025-26 NCAA men's basketball champs!!

  • My NIL talk
    2026/03/31

On this episode, I discuss NIL in college sports and what is needed to make it a more fluid system. I bring up the potential for salary cap or even player cap then dive into the problems of "outside" money not being on the books and the tampering that goes on to get players in the transfer portal.

This podcast stems from a previous podcast "Has NIL killed Cinderella?" as a listener asked me what I think needs changed with NIL to make it more regulated.

  • My Mix-it-up minutes: Tiger Woods, NBA, MLB and NFL talk
    2026/03/29

The mix-it-up minutes podcast is an episode where I spend some time talking about a few topics rather than having a singular topic or theme for the podcast. This episode discusses Tiger Woods' car accident and suspicion of DUI arrest, the NBA trying to once again limit or get rid of tanking with new proposed rules for it, MLB opening day schedule and the ABS system and the NFL entering "smokescreen season" as the bad takes and rumors are spreading around.

  • My take: Has NIL killed Cinderella?
    2026/03/24

Cinderella's have been missing from the last 2 men's March Madness tournaments and is NIL the reason why?

I give my thoughts on why it's more complicated than just blaming NIL and the transfer portal rules, as college basketball has changed across the entire landscape. This dives into the other factors and the effect that NIL has on them, from conference expansion to less opportunities for mid-majors to advanced metrics being used to determine the bubble.
