  • Troubles: Technology, Word Choices, and Memories
    2026/06/24

In this episode of The Co-Authored Life, authors J.E.Sutton Jr. and Jeannie bounce back from a grueling hour of tech troubleshooting to celebrate their biggest milestone yet: a record-breaking sales day at San Marco Books and More! The duo shares behind-the-scenes updates on the final chapters of J.E.'s upcoming novel, Eclosion Point, and a progress report on the highly anticipated audiobook release. Over in the Analog Book Club, they dive into a fiery social media debate about vocabulary in fiction ("scrying," anyone?) and share their latest reads, including All the Light We Cannot See and The Pillars of the Earth. Plus, they talk World Cup action, pitch a FIFA-compliant stadium upgrade to Jaguars owner Shad Khan, and serve up mouth-watering recipes for air-fried street corn and Ninja Foodi one-pot spaghetti. Stick around until the very end for an exclusive BOGO book sale announcement you won't want to miss!

  • Seasons: Cooking, Binge Watching, and Writing
    2026/06/17

In this week's episode, we talk about the final stages of writing the first draft of Eclosion Point, the writing challenge of writing every day in June. We highlight our upcoming appearances at San Marco Books and More and at The Literary Indulgence Book Festival in July. Jeanne discusses her own book publishing adventure and the challenges facing new writers. We explore the Foundation TV series and the incredible show Widows Bay. We started watching Ted Lasso again, and it is still an amazing show. In our What’s for Dinner segment, we talk about Jerry’s dislike of large-scale family-style dinners, a great experiment with a tamari sauce vegetable recipe, and Gordon Ramsay’s fish and chips. We try to coax our AI pet, Abby (AIBI), to join the podcast, with poor results.

This week, Jerry and Jeanne discuss upcoming book events, the pending audiobook release of The Failsafe Program, and some cool tech that Jeanne purchased for the events. In ourDuring the Analog Book Club session, Jeanne casually mentions her affinity for the book "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. (Kidding, she gushes about it). We talk about reading tastes and the latest Craig Johnson novel,"Brothers McKay." In Plot in Popcorn, we talk about the sleeper hit, Jury Duty. You have to watch this show. We alsotalk about how good the second season of Foundation is, even though Jerry is critical of the departure from the novels. We wrap up the week with some recipes and talk about a fun date night at Oxford Place in Jacksonville.
