  • You Can’t Just Call It Street Photography… The London Underground Problem
    2026/05/25

There’s a new wave of “street photography” going viral on TikTok… and not everyone’s buying it.

People with cameras. Passengers on the London Underground. Close-range photos. No interaction. No context.

    And when people question it?

    “It’s legal.”

But here’s the problem… legal doesn’t automatically mean acceptable.

In this episode, I’m breaking down what’s actually going on—looking at the real rules set by Transport for London, the difference between rights and perceived rights, and why photographers hiding behind the label of “street photography” might be doing more harm than they realise.

    We’re getting into:

    • What TfL actually allows (and what they absolutely don’t)
    • Why the Underground is NOT the same as photographing on the street
    • The blurred line between “amateur” and “commercial” when you post online
    • Why public discomfort isn’t something photographers can ignore
    • How viral content like this damages trust in the industry as a whole

This isn’t about gatekeeping. It’s about accountability.

Because if photographers don’t start having honest conversations about ethics…

    The restrictions will come anyway.

    And we’ll all feel it.

  • Photographers Broke the Industry—Now They’re Playing Victim
    2026/05/17

Have we as photographers, allowed social media to slowly destroy photography as we push for more validation. I am talking bad behaviour and conduct in the pursuit of THAT shot. Are we then crying wolf and playing the victim when that risk doesnt pay off and we are called out on it?

With the increase in photographers being named and shamed on platforms, are we guilty of ruining it for ourselves as more restricitons and constraints are put on us and this industry?

  • The ‘Lowest Form of Photography’? Let’s Talk About Wedding Snobbery
    2026/05/10

A photographer once told me wedding photography was the lowest form of photography.

Yeah… we need to talk about that.

In this episode of The Loud Lens, we’re breaking down:

    • Why wedding photography gets looked down on
    • The ego and hierarchy problem in the photography industry
    • The truth about skill, pressure, and responsibility in weddings
    • Why poor-quality saturation is damaging perception
    • And what ALL photographers can learn from this

Because if you think wedding photography is “easy”… you’ve clearly never shot one.
