In Episode 2026_18 of The Martial Arts Lifestyle Podcast, host Tim Becherer interviews Australia based martial artist Craig Gemeiner. Craig has been training in martial arts since the mid 1970's and specializes in western martial arts. His main art is Savate but also trains and teaches in Savate associated disciplines such as Defens dan la Rue, La Canne, and Baton Militaire as well as being a practioner and coach of fencing. He is also and advid student of Ghost Elusive Combat. Craig is one of the leading proponents of Savate in Australia and is the owner of the Gemeiner Academy of Savate in Gold Coast Australia. He started his "serious" training in his 30's though he had been interested in martial arts as a kid and had dabbled in Tae Kwon Do and Kajukenbo before locking into Kung Fu San Soo and making a decision that he would become a teacher for his profession. In Episode 2026_13 of The Martial Arts Lifestyle Podcast, host Tim Becherer interveiws Canada based Martial Artist Paul Irish. Paul is a Canada based martial artist and instructor. Paul is a rock and roll drummer for the band Fifth Temple who got his interest in martial arts when watching The Green Hornet. Other Kung Fu films as well as those of Bruce Lee inspired him to take up Tae Kwon Do. He took a seminar with Paul Vunak and his interest in JKD and FMA launched from there. Shortly after, he traveled to Texas and trained in a Seminar with Sifu Larry Hartsell and continued to train with him. Paul is one of the representatives of the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Association in Canada. Tune in and hear his story.
