    Dr Barb talks Myth-busting, De-extinction and the ancient environments and ecosystems of New Zealand with Palaeogeneticist Associate Professor Nic Rawlence. Nic has an undergraduate degree and Master of Science from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, a PhD from the University of Adelaide (Australia). He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Australia (University of Adelaide) and New Zealand (University of Waikato and University of Otago) before taking up a permanent position as a Lecturer in Ancient DNA in the Department of Zoology at the University of Otago in 2017. His research focuses on reconstructing past ecosystems and testing for the impact of climate change and humans on these ecosystems. An award-winning designer, textile artist, and the force behind the Loom Room. Dr Veale is a Rutherford Discovery Fellow and Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology (University of Waikato). She holds a PhD From Massy University, is the director of the Transgender Health Research Lab, home of the Counting Ourselves project—the first comprehensive national survey of transgender and non-binary people’s health and wellbeing in Aotearoa New Zealand.
