    Dr. Anne Hussain, ND is a naturopathic doctor and author of “The Period Literacy Handbook.” Her personal journey with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and a lack of reproductive health education growing up in Karachi, Pakistan drives her passion for menstrual health education. Anne operates a hybrid practice offering a mix of virtual care to serve people across Ontario along with in-person care near Toronto that revolves around period and hormone health, especially PCOS, fertility, PMS, and endometriosis.


    She is also the founder of The Period Literacy School, an online platform that offers free and low-cost programming for people with periods. She has appeared on Canadian national TV, and has collaborated and volunteered with organizations such as Naturopaths Without Borders, VegTO, The Period Purse, and Moon Time Connections. Her book, The Period Literacy Handbook: Everything you need to know about your menstrual cycles, period is available to purchase as a paperback or ebook through online retailers.

    Inside this conversation, Bhavna Devnani addresses the common misconceptions around exercise during your period, during pregnancy and postpartum.

    She also shares from her knowledge and expertise, benefits and safe and fun ways to include movement during these different times. Bhavna also shares simple and effective tips on how to start incorporating exercise if you are just getting started!


    Determination and integrity are the qualities which define the work with which Ms. Bhavna Rajesh Devnani treats her patients as a Physical Therapist at an Orthopedic Outpatient in New York, NY. She has extensive clinical experience in women's health, pelvic floor strength training, weight management, prenatal and postpartum physical therapy.


    Ms. Devnani is a manual therapist, who uses a combined approach of evidence-based physical therapy and holistic manual therapies drawn from musculoskeletal and orthopedic philosophy. She is also a Certified Lymphatic Therapist (CLT) and a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP). She has her Masters in Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences from Dallas, Texas. She is also certified in Manual Therapy and Mulligan techniques and uses advanced Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy to remove adhesions and scar tissues.

    She is a Pilates and Aerobics/Zumba instructor. She has experience in aquatic therapy and weight loss programs using strength training and a combination of various skillful techniques.

    Ms Devnani started a Talk Show as an Instagram Live called “Let’s Talk About Health by Bhavna” which is available on all the channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and Podcast.

    Therapists, surgeons, trainers and doctors share their expertise in the field of medicine and health and their journey in healthcare.

  • Managing Perimenopause with Terry Tatesossian

    Being obese, feeling like her body was breaking, struggling with anxiety and depression but with a never ending to do list and so many responsibilities as an entrepreneur and mom of two, Terry Tateossian continued to push through until she had a wake up call. Her wake up call was when she was in the ER a couple of times thinking she was having a heart attack in her mid-30s when it was really an anxiety attack.

    Despite trying every diet out there, Terry was not able to keep the weight off until she finally addressed her hormones. Terry saw long lasting results.
