  • Mark Carney's AI Plan Is Here And Canadians Should Be Worried... Here's Why!
    2026/06/05

Mark Carney's AI Plan Is Here And Canadians Should Be Worried... Here's Why!

Today, Carney unveiled Canada's new national AI strategy: AI For All.

According to the government, the plan will protect Canadians, strengthen online safety, build sovereign AI infrastructure, create AI partnerships around the world, and accelerate AI adoption across the economy.

    Sounds great, right?

But what exactly are "AI safety capabilities"?

Why is the government talking about new online safety laws?

Why are they building sovereign AI infrastructure and expanding the Canadian AI Safety Institute?

And why has Canada already signed AI partnerships with 12 countries that have some of the world's most aggressive lawful access and online speech laws?

Tonight, Jason Lavigne and I break down Carney's AI strategy, the questions Canadians should be asking, and the hidden implications that almost nobody in the media is discussing.

The future of AI in Canada is being built right now.

The question is: what kind of country are we building?

  • If You Thought Bill C-9 Was Bad... Think Again! It Just Got A Lot Worse
    2026/06/04

If You Thought Bill C-9 Was Bad... Think Again! It Just Got A Lot Worse

Bill C-9 was already one of the most concerning pieces of legislation in Canada.

    Now senators have amended it.

Under the new changes, "residential school denialism" could become a criminal offence punishable by up to two years in prison.

    But what exactly is denialism?

Who decides what qualifies as "downplaying" history?

Who decides what constitutes "misrepresenting facts"?

And why are politicians rushing to create new protections for some groups while remaining largely silent as more than 100 churches have been vandalized or destroyed across Canada?

Tonight on The Political Orphans, we break down the latest amendments to Bill C-9, what they mean for free speech, how they could impact public debate, and why many Canadians are becoming increasingly concerned about the direction of the country.

The question is no longer whether Bill C-9 is dangerous.

The question is: how much further are they willing to go?

  • Bill C-22 Is Passing No Matter What | Carney Calls Alberta Independence A Dangerous Bluff
    2026/05/29

The Public Safety Minister went on CBC today to defend Bill C-22.

What he said should concern every Canadian.

He admitted the amendments are still being written. He admitted metadata is undefined on purpose so the government never has to return to Parliament. And he made clear that a lawful access regime is not optional — meaning this bill is passing no matter what Canadians think.

A 20 year telecom sales engineer breaks down exactly what he got wrong and why the technology tells a completely different story than what your government is selling you.

    Then we turn to Alberta.

Mark Carney called the Alberta independence referendum a "dangerous bluff" comparing it to Brexit. We break down what that means for the future of Canada and why Quebec is now openly supporting Alberta's push.

This is East Meets West with Jason Lavigne.

  • AI Needs Data Centers And Canada Is The Perfect Place To Build Them | Here's Why That's A Problem
    2026/05/28

AI needs massive data centers to operate. And Canada just became the most attractive place in the world to build them.

Here's why that should concern every Canadian.

AI data centers consume 5 to 100 times more energy than traditional data centers. A single rack can draw enough power to run dozens of suburban homes simultaneously. The largest facilities being built today require their own dedicated power plants.

    So why Canada?

    • Alberta's natural gas is 40 to 50% cheaper than in the US because it's essentially trapped locally

    • Canadian winters eliminate up to 50% of cooling costs — the freezing air does the work for free

    • Tech giants can bypass public grid fees entirely with Alberta's Bring Your Own Power program

    • American companies get even more value because their dollar goes further in Canada

America is running out of power. So Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Meta are bringing their AI infrastructure here instead.

And Kevin O'Leary is already spearheading Wonder Valley — billed as the world's largest AI data center industrial park — a 70 billion dollar, 9 gigawatt facility in northern Alberta that was just exempted from provincial environmental review.

Nobody asked Canadians if they were okay with this.

This is Episode 4 of my 5 part series: AI — The Missing Link To Our Government's Surveillance And Censorship State.

Tomorrow: East Meets West with Jason Lavigne. Tuesday: The final episode — how it all connects and why social media bans are the key to implementing the surveillance state.

    2026/05/26

Canadian Government Agencies Are Already Using AI To Surveil Citizens | Who Are They?

Episode 3 of our AI series.

Most Canadians still think AI surveillance is something coming in the future.

    It’s not.

    It’s already here.

In this episode we break down:

    • Which Canadian government agencies are already using AI surveillance technologies

    • Predictive policing systems

    • Facial recognition software

    • Social media surveillance

    • Algorithmic policing technologies

    • Automated license plate readers

    • Palantir & data-mining systems

    • Smart surveillance infrastructure already operating across Canada

From the Department of National Defense to police forces across the country, the infrastructure is already being deployed.

The question is no longer IF these systems exist.

The question is: How far will they go?

  • 5G Changed Everything Yet Most Canadians Think It’s About Faster Internet. Here's What's Happening!
    2026/05/26

5G Changed Everything Yet Most Canadians Think It’s About Faster Internet. Here's What's Happening.

Episode 2 of our 5-part AI series.

Most people think 5G simply means faster internet on your phone.

    That’s not what changed.

    5G changed infrastructure.

For the first time, wireless technology became fast, stable and predictable enough to support real-time applications and massive sensor networks almost anywhere.

    Tonight we break down:

    • What IoT (The Internet of Things) actually is

    • Why latency matters more than bandwidth

    • Why smart devices are constantly collecting and transmitting data

    • How pipelines, water systems, electric grids and traffic systems are monitored in real time

    • Why 5G changed wireless infrastructure forever

    • How all these devices are creating the big data AI platforms like Palantir rely on

Most people think we’re just talking about phones.

    We’re not.

We’re talking about the infrastructure layer being built underneath modern society.

  • Who Is Palantir And Why Should Every Canadian Be Paying Attention?
    2026/05/25

Who Is Palantir And Why Should Every Canadian Be Paying Attention?

Today is Part 1 of my new 5-part series:

AI — The Missing Link To Canada’s Surveillance & Censorship State.

Most people have heard of ChatGPT, Alexa or AI…

But very few Canadians know about Palantir.

A billion-dollar AI company specializing in:

    • Big Data

    • Government integration systems

    • Artificial intelligence platforms

    • Operational analytics

    • Real-time decision making

But what makes Palantir different is not just AI.

It’s their ability to organize, connect and operationalize massive amounts of fragmented data coming from:

    • Government departments

    • IoT devices

    • Smart technology

    • Telecommunications

    • Financial systems

    • Databases

    • Internet activity

    Tonight I break down:

    • What big data actually is

    • How Palantir’s AI systems work

    • What “digital twins” and AI agents are

    • Why interconnected government systems matter

    • Why Canada should be paying attention

    Tomorrow:

The Internet Of Things (IoT) — the smart devices collecting data everywhere around you.

Because this isn’t just about AI.

It’s about the infrastructure being built around it.

    2026/05/22

American political commentator Nick Fuentes says the United States should invade Canada, remove the Prime Minister and deport millions of immigrants.

    A ridiculous statement?

Or a warning sign showing how angry, divided and frustrated people are becoming?

Tonight on The Political Orphans, Nico Lagan opens the floor to the audience for one of the most intense community discussions yet:

    • Immigration

    • National identity

    • Foreign influence

    • Canada’s future

    • Why trust in government is collapsing

    • Why political conversations are becoming more extreme

    PLUS:

Nico announces next week’s 5-part AI Deep Dive Series covering:

    • Palantir

    • Internet of Things (IoT)

    • Government surveillance systems

    • AI infrastructure
