We see food, we eat it, and then we talk about it. Bob, Kate, and Matt tell you what's in their mouths and on their minds in this weekly podcast about food in Columbus, Ohio and beyond. It's that part of the cookout after everyone's eaten and now you're talking about eating.rdmeeker アート クッキング 食品・ワイン

"I would rather be ostrich-sized. I'd just be walking around like a supermodel with my long, long legs and my huge BBL." - Kate

This episode is a breezy, chaotic, and genuinely hilarious half-episode — the result of a recording disaster that wiped out the first half of the conversation. Hosts Bob, Kate, and Matt are joined by returning summer guest Nila, and they dive headfirst into one of their favorite topics: summer frozen treats. From Popsicle brand character pops (Bluey is berry, Hello Kitty is cotton candy-strawberry, Spider-Man is cherry) to Creamsicles, Drumsticks, and the legendary Klondike Bar, the crew enthusiastically debates structural integrity, serving sizes, and the nostalgic terror of a melting Sonic the Hedgehog pop that looked like it was "crying blood." Graeters peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream, Bryers/Viennetta ice cream cake layers, and grandma Rosie's banana splits all make cameos in a warm, memory-soaked food conversation.

The second half of the episode goes fully off the rails in the best way possible. The crew tackles a series of absurd hypothetical questions — including whether you'd rather be ostrich-sized or ostracized, what finger you'd want all five of your fingers to become, whether you'd go to the moon if you could never tell anyone, and whether dust particles see a vacuum cleaner as a prison or a nightclub. Kate drops the bombshell that she spent most of her life believing moths were made from dust. There's also a detour into TikTok rabbit holes — a Columbus coffee reviewer called the "Coffee Snobster," a guy on day 19 of reviewing Chinese buffets who hasn't gotten food poisoning yet, and jumping spiders as pets. The whole thing wraps with a toast doneness debate and a reminder to visit seefooddietpod.com.

  • I Have Elite Taste

"Don't go looking for the truffle cashews. They're mine. They don't exist." - Kate

This episode is a delightfully chaotic food lover's hangout session featuring the Gang diving deep into the struggle of finding good vegetarian options at Mexican restaurants. From a mashed potato burrito at Don Tequila's to a horrifying steamer-pack veggie burrito at a mystery restaurant, the crew debates what actually belongs in a vegetarian Mexican dish, calls out Chipotle for discontinuing their red chimichurri sauce, and sings the praises of Taco Bell as the unlikely king of customizable vegetarian fast food.

The back half of the episode turns into a full snack review segment featuring truffle cashews from Littleton's (instantly declared a top-tier elite snack), Cherry Republic dark chocolate salted caramel covered cherries, and a taste test of Barebells vanilla and strawberry protein milk drinks — all of which surprisingly pass the vibe check.

The crew also digs into their AI-assisted podcast website copy, debates the proper walking mechanics of Baby Grogu, and goes full chaos mode scrolling TikTok live on air — landing on George Cooper from Young Sheldon memes, AI raccoon revenge videos, and a pregnant mafia horse with a shark bodyguard.

The episode closes out with TV and music recommendations, including a passionate endorsement of Slow Horses, the BTS swim pronunciation discourse, Eric Church deep cuts for summer vibes, and an introduction to the UK drama Rivals featuring David Tennant being gloriously menacing.

  • How to Find Great Restaurants While Traveling
    2026/06/01

"So what I'm hearing is the Mandalorian is a garlic guy." - Matt

The See Food Diet Gang are back with another gloriously unfiltered post-party food conversation. The trio kicks things off debating whether Kate's fancy water dispenser is growing algae, Kate's apple cider vinegar wellness ritual, and the great vinegar ice machine cleaning saga. From there, they dive into real food content: Matt's Cap City Diner meatloaf sandwich, Kate's Burger King Mandalorian garlic chicken fries, Bob's visit to Detroit's Detroit 75 Kitchen, bumpy cake as a Michigan delicacy, and the discovery of a flavor burst soft serve spot near Cincinnati.

The episode's undeniable centerpiece is Kate's full-on, barely-contained meltdown over Chipotle burrito sizes — but with a twist. While the rest of the internet screams about shrinkflation, Kate is furious that her burrito TOO MASSIVE, arriving at her workplace like a monster after she explicitly ordered light everything. The rant is unhinged, hilarious, and somehow deeply valid.

The Gang also do a live snack review of the Lay's World Cup Worldly Flavors chips (Brazilian garlic sauce, Argentinian steak with chimichurri, and French onion soup), only to discover there are 40 globally inspired flavors and the US only got three. Betrayal.

The back half of the episode covers a genuinely useful conversation about how to find great restaurants while traveling — Google, TikTok, Reddit city subreddits, OpenTable, and Instagram aesthetics all get their moment — plus a chaotic detour into gas tank anxiety (Matt runs his car to nearly empty; Kate would pull over and have a breakdown at the orange light), Waterloo root beer float sparkling water being a Guy Fieri collab and somehow incredible, and a meditation on why businesses should never publicly mock their customers. It's messy, it's funny, and it is absolutely the conversation you'd have after your Summer cookout.
