Episode 22

Kevin Burrell is the co-lead Pastor of StoneBridge Church Community in Charlotte, North Carolina. An avid birder, Kevin’s pastoral heart and avian interests united with the formation of his blog, Ornitheology, where he utilizes birds as illustrations of the Christian life. His first book, called Considering Sparrows: What Birds Teach Us About Who We Are, Where We’re Going, and the Joy of Following Jesus, came out just a few days ago, and it’s terrific.

Episode 21

Will Cruse is a professional drummer. He plays drums in the worship band at our church, and also plays in other bands in the Dallas area.

But he’s also a superfan of the rock band U2. Will talks about the Christian roots of the band, and the challenging spirituality of their lyrics. On March 11, 2026, our church will have a special communion service during the season of Lent. We are calling it a U2charist service.

U2charist is a worship experience where the music of U2 becomes a vessel for prayer, Scripture, and sacrament. Rooted in the Eucharist and shaped by songs that wrestle with longing, justice, grace, and hope, this service invites worshipers to encounter God in the honest, searching space where faith and real life meet. It is worship for those who believe, those who doubt, and those still asking the questions.

Episode 20

Steve Moore followed in his father’s footsteps, and joined the FBI. He is a former Supervising Special Agent with the FBI, a published author and a frequent media commentator on Federal and International crime and investigations for CNN. He has appeared on The Today Show, CBS This Morning, 48 Hours, Good Morning America, Nightline and 20/20, as well as numerous crime documentaries. He became intimately involved in the imprisonment and subsequent release of Amanda Knox, a University of Washington student held for four years on false charges by a rogue Italian prosecutor.

He is also a man of strong faith, and has been a script writer for church dramas and film productions, as well as for television shows.

Today, he works as a pilot for a charter jet company based out of L.A.

In this special Father’s Day episode, we hear about Steve’s career, faith, and the impact his dad, also an FBI agent, has had on him.
