Plus a federal judge declared a mistrial in the Palisades Fire arson case after the jury deadlocked 10 to 2 in favor of not guilty. The evidence was entirely circumstantial and prosecutors say they will retry the case in October. Big show today.

    The Supreme Court delivered two big rulings today. Gun owners can now carry into any business open to the public unless that business says no — a major reversal of the old default rule. And Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and Syrians, granted back in 2010, is finally ending after sixteen years. Sixteen years is not temporary by any definition. We break both rulings down. Iran struck a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz with a drone — a clear test of President Trump's patience after the recent ceasefire announcement. Will he respond? And earthquakes have hit Japan, California, Russia, and even SFO airport recently, with the most damaging one striking Venezuela. Is it earthquake season? Big news day, all of it today.

We address both the false solution and the real pain today. And Trump refused to sign the bipartisan housing affordability bill — we don't blame him. It wouldn't have lowered housing costs and might have made things worse. We explain why a bad bill is still a bad bill even with bipartisan support.
