Why church? Because that is the way God planned it. Jesus, upon His ascension to heaven, sat on the right hand of God and became the head of the church. The church is the born again believers on the earth. He gave gifts to the church, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, for equipping the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. The job of the members of the church is to do the work of the ministry. Build up and encourage the fellow members of their local church, be involved in reaching the lost, and bringing them into the kingdom of God and the local church where they can be discipled and grow into the men and women God has called them to become.
