  • How To (Happily) Serve Others
    2026/07/06
    Episode # 6: How To (Happily) Serve Others *The serve pillar is built on the truth that as we are serving - in all that we are doing, which may look like a family member standing in front of us, or a client, or a friend… Or even a complete stranger. No matter who is in front of us, we are really serving the Lord. When we can begin to allow Jesus to take over that interaction and show us that person in front of us through His eyes, and we can learn to also envision them as if it is actually Jesus himself standing in front of us - then it changes how we think of that person, how we treat them and ultimately how we serve them. *In this episode we’re going to look at Colossians 3:23-24 and how it should set the tone for how we show up to serve. It says: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. *This can be a really challenging pillar to live into! For me, it’s the hardest of the 4. Yet, it’s the most rewarding. We’re going to understand how to serve others with a “happy heart,” see from scripture why that’s important and reflect on our own life to consider where we may need to grow (and what we may need to let go of to do so). Here are the 3 questions posed for your prayerful reflection: Is there an area that you need to better show up in order to serve with a "happy heart”? (Happy Heart is a phrase I’ve always used with my kiddos - who are now 22, 10 and 7… so for quite some time I’ve been using that phrase to describe the way we should be approaching our tasks, other people and really our life in general.)Are you available to nurture, nourish & serve others (be it your family, co-workers, clients, church or community) or are you too distracted with other things (that do not carry the importance of others - ie social media, shows/movies/ etc, work that you're not called to do, or even gossip)? (You need to be brutally honest with yourself when answering this question - your honesty is the difference between staying where you are and growing into what the Lord is calling you to.)What would it look like in your daily life to embrace a positive attitude of servitude? (Take time on this one and really see yourself walking through your day in a new way, with a new disposition and being fueled by joy from the Lord.) PRAYER: Lord empty me out of myself & fill me up of The Spirit… so that all I do and all I speak be from you God and for You. Let my eyes see others as you see them, let my ears hear them as you do, let my mouth be filled with Your words - not my own, allow my heart to be filled with Your love and compassion, my body be taken over by you to serve with love and gentleness, and fill my mind with your thoughts, wisdom, discernment and creativity.     Episode 5: Here’s What’s Missing In Your Life

    -When you know WHO you are in God - what you DO changes. How you forgive, show up, care for others, just live out your daily life - it all changes. When we’re struggling to understand who we are, we begin to search outside ourselves for anything or anyone that we believe will answer that question.

    -When you receive God’s love - because it’s a beautiful gift to be received - not earned… you begin to look at yourself and everyone around you differently.

    -Today we’ll look at Pillar 3 - love… and the various ways the desire for healing (ie loving yourself) can show up in your life… leading you to deeper joy and more fulfillment.

    -Here are the areas of healing I listed in the show for your prayerful reflection:

    • Forgiveness
    • Releasing grudges or anger
    • Knowing God‘s word so you can rebuke evil and strongholds that are coming against you
    • Knowing God‘s character so you know your true worth and that your value comes from him - and not the things that you do
    • Understanding a heart of servitude but still holding boundaries
    • Taking care of your body - setting aside time for soul care and self-care
    • Learning how to say no
    • Putting down the distractions
    • Recognizing idols in your life.
    • There could be something else entirely - but hopefully you get the idea of focusing on an area for healing, and for loving yourself… so that you can love others.

    **Ultimately we want God to lead your way.**

    Episode 4: Ditching the System for The Spirit

    *If you’re ready to shift from the way the world is doing things because you’ve found that it’s clearly not working… but you don’t know where to turn or how to make changes, then you’re in the right place. I have felt that so deeply… and today I’m sharing what it’s like to pursue a Well Led Life while you leave the world’s questionable ways behind. You could call this “ditching the system for The Spirit”…

    *This episode is dedicated to Pillar 2 - PLAN. This is where we learn to create the structure & space to make major life transformation… to say no, to slow down, to be led, live intentionally and enjoy life.

    *What we’re really looking at is all of the things we’re doing... the tasks that make up our day to day life. And not just what we are doing, but how are we doing them.

    Here are the 5 questions posed for your prayerful reflection:

    1. What are your top 5 values? Whether you’re living into them or not - what is most important to you?

    2. Do you feel that your day-to-day actions are in line with those values? How so or how not?

    3. What do you stand to gain by making a change? (So often we look at what we’re afraid we might lose if we change - but I want you to look at what you may gain.)

    4. What are you willing to give up in your current life to achieve your called life? (That is a powerful question that can unearth some motives.)

    5. What feels like the most important or impactful place to begin?

    *Here’ a bit of encouragement… especially if you’re feeling stuck or in a rut or confused. Life can change… do not let the enemy feed into lies that this is the way it has to be, or that it will be like this forever. We do need to submit to God’s timing - He has an appointed time for everything. His timing is always perfect.

    *Quite often our situations can and will be changed… but remember that even if our circumstances don’t change - your perspective of them can; and that will shift everything.

  • Biblical Rest & Spiritual Warfare

    EPISODE 3: Biblical Rest & Spiritual Warfare

    In this episode we’re talking about spiritual rest. There is something deeply profound & transformational to be had in it and we find it exemplified in this verse:

      • Mathew 11:28-30 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

    I want THAT kind of rest, don’t you?

    We rest because we’re instructed to starting in Genesis. We rest because Jesus did, as described throughout the new testament. We rest because we were created for it. We rest because you’ll find that direction all through scripture.

    But what happens when you find yourself struggling to even want to be in The Word, distracted when you’re in The Word or finding excuses for why it just didn’t work out again today?? It could very well be spiritual warfare. And we’re going to learn what to do about it in this episode.

    Here are the 4 questions posed for your prayerful reflection:

    1. How would you describe your current relationship with the Lord?

    2. How would you like your relationship with the Lord to look? AND Are there changes that you need to make?

    3. Consider what those changes can be.

    4. Consider specifically what you’re going to do in your time of spiritual rest.

    Welcome to the 1st episode of TWLL Podcast!!!

    I am incredibly grateful that you’re here today as we begin understanding what a “well led life” is… why it’s important… who it’s for… and how to begin living yours.

    Spoiler alert - you didn't have to grow up in church, or attend Sunday school or youth group - I certainly didn’t. God can meet you right where you are, right now, just like He did me.

    As a Type-A personality with control issues and as a recovering perfectionist - yep I have it all - I have to admit this wasn’t easy for me to hand my life over to God. But now that I have, I couldn't imagine living any other way.

    In this episode you'll see why leaving your life up to the world's ways is of no comparison to what God has in store for you - and how to embrace His plans!

    • Take this moment to reflect on your day to day actions. Have they been prayed over?
    • Do you feel conviction for or against the things that make up your day?

    • Perhaps there are parts of your life where you’re checking out, relying on something that’s truly not supporting or fulfilling you. Jesus came so that you can live in abundance, until it overflows… but that’s not abundance of social media or Netflix or gossip or food addiction or envy.
