    Hoosiers

    Who are the Hoosiers?

Well, if you listen to this podcast, you’re gonna find out who the Hoosiers were.

The Hoosiers were a basketball team, but they were more than a team.

They were actually a group/team of actors in a cast in this movie.

They’re acting as a team and we all know that teamwork makes the dream work.

And that DreamWorks is a movie studio.

    This is a sports movie.

This is a sports movie about basketball.

This is a sports movie about basketball in Indiana.

This is a sports movie about basketball in Indiana in the 1950s.

Chris and Lee ripped this movie a new one by recasting it with some heartwarming selections of their own.

I could tell what the selections are right here in print...

...but you’ll just have to listen to this Special Limited Edition TCR episode of Hoosiers.

This time they break it down and dirty and nitty to the gritty.

Not sure if that’s actually a saying or not, but it should be.

This one stars Gene Hackman, Dennis Hopper, and a lot of other actors that all work together as a team.

    The director is David Anspaugh

    The writer is Angelo Pizzo

And your part and all of this?

You complete the team by listening to the team.

You will serve as the podcast key player-

    ‘the listener.’

So... listen up and take a dunk on this episode.

    Sincerely,

    Cyn Sear-Li

  • Zoolander - Ep. 44
    2026/06/17

    In a world (this world),

    in which we live,

there was nothing in the beginning.

    Not even the word, beginning.

    And then there was...

This week's Episode of Total Casting Recall.

    Episode 44...

With zany madcap recasting suggestions by Chris B. and Lee B. for a movie called Zoolander starring Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell. (no relation)

Directed by Ben Stiller (co-incidentally directed by the same Ben Stiller)

2001 was when it came to theaters.

    Now it's mission is complete.

    Are you complete?

    Not yet.

    But after listening to this...

  • Heat - Ep. 43
    2026/06/10

Heat... because there is no other way.

    Got it?

I'm kidding. I was coming in 'hot' so to speak.

So, in the late 1600's when the Earth was discovered and then settled- moviemaking began. It was tedious at first and many lost their lives and later some lost their lunch.

But... it was on one of those tumultuous evenings after several fatal pratfalls and lethal plot devices, casting was discovered.

Soon re-casting became the main game in town.

    Well, one of them.

Then what seemed like eons but was actually about 15 minutes later

the first podcast was invented. Long before radio, TV or even fire was discovered.

Today's modern world may laugh surreptitously at a world without podcasts or Pokémon.

And ponder at what exactly the word surreptitiously means.

And to this day, no one really knows.

    And then one day...

    Re-casting just happened.

    And God said "Yes"

Leigh and Kriss talk a lot this week.

And at some point, during all the talking, as if by magic, their re-casting of the movie Heat is discussed.

Only a very select few have the rare talent or gift to do what these

    two guys can do.

    Michael Mann directed it.

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro acted in it.

    Chrisp and Leek re-casted it.

This movie is about two gun crazy fools. Both are from opposite sides of the law but very much in love with, guns, hanging out with groups of guys that get killed and ultimately they fall in love with each other AND their very different powerhouse styles of American acting.

    Life is a mystery.

    So listen, learn and enjoy,

  • Sneakers - Ep. 42
    2026/06/03

    It's that time again.

    That time of year.

When we all can stop and think, smell the flowers or just plain stop.

    Don't you feel better?

    Good.

Before the internet craze; there was a movie that inspired cybercrime before today's world of fear based and impulse buying of crapola at the mere tap of a smart device button..

And no, that movie was not UHF.

It was Sneakers. This movie stars Robert Redford, Dan Akyroyd, Sidney Potier, plus other BIG NAMES.

    Phil Alden Robinson directed it.

Based on that, Cee and Lhris chose it to recast.

They literally spent minutes to decide on which movie to recast for your listening enjoyment.

So gather 'round and listen up to a movie get recasted that is not about shoes. We sure were surprised to find that outl

    And obviously relieved, of course.

PRO TIP: You'll want to relieve yourself before listening to this one for added comfort.

FOR ADDED FUN: Have the person with the best hearing to do a joke tally. Afterwards, decide if it was worth it or if your life has purpose.

    Courage,

  • L.A. Confidential - Ep. 41
    2026/05/27

    We've all been there.

    Right?

I don't need to explain myself.

    But I will.

    Confidentially... speaking.

Which brings us to UFOs or UPAs or INTERGALACTIC VAGABONDS as I personally refer to them.

    When I have the time.

    To refer to them.

    Who are they?

    Where do they come from?

    Are they friend or foe?

Who knows? I don't. But what I do know is that....

This week- LEEC AND CRRIS investigate LA Confidential and officially disclose their casting ideas about how to safely recast this classic film.

    Without any probing or radiation.

    Wellll... not that much.

    Although....

    You may:

Experience missing time after listening to this episode.

About forty-five minutes worth, give or take a few minutes.

Sorry about any typos that might occur. I think I just went through a portal...

    OF FUN!!

We can neither confirm or deny that:

LA Confidential stars Russell Crowe, Kim Basinger and Kevin Spacey.

    Directed by Curtis Hanson.

It's (this movie) is about a cop who is disenchanted and crestfallen after he learns that there might be some corruption in local city governmental agencies like the LAPD.

There are other people you might spot in this movie that are involved in the skull-duggary in the 'film noir' tradition.

    Or maybe they aren't involved???

(Check your local internet for disclosure of term film noir.)

    OTHER QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE:

Was this film filmed on Earth?

    Possibly.

Do you believe that Hollywood exists?

    Maybe.

    SO:

Listen to this episode of TOTAL CASTING RECALL and you decide for yourself, once and for all, if you are a True Believer.

    Sincerely,

    Chuck Blew aka "True Blew"

  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Ep. 40
    2026/05/20

Space the Final Frontier... where no one can hear you scream but they can hear you giggle. And who are they?

And... if you are into giggling or even chuckling, you've come to the right place.

You've just entered the Total Casting Recall zone.

We are all made of star stuff... or star shit, if you like.

So... you'd better get used to it.

In this cosmic episode, Lee,Chris,Lee and Chris, recast the Steven Spielberg classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Quick Spoiler Alert: So this is what happens.

Wayward Extraterrestrials play hide and seek with the military, scientists and electricians and other bumpkins in the midwest. These out-of-towers kidnap kids and sunburn other people's faces and drive 'em all plum loco. These Aliens dig partying in their fancy pants spaceships that are all blinged out and Rooty toot toot!!

They do this in the 'Hellzapoppin' Tradition'.

In the end, they end up taking with them an unemployed deadbeat dad who will probably wind up whippin' their flimsy skinny asses in the end.

But the movie cuts off before we even see that intergalactic smackdown. Which would have been great. Whatever....

Richard basically says goodbye to his girl in this semi-sequel to the Goodbye Girl. Bam! Oh no he di-ent!

This movie stars Richard Dreyfuss, Melinda Dillon, Teri Garr and a bunch of other people. And Bob Balaban who you know from other comedies such as: Midnight Cowboy and Stienfeld. And a famous French UFO/UAP dude.

    CHECK IT OUT,

    Phil 'The Film Geeky' MacWannybeak

  • Napoleon Dynamite - Ep.38
    2026/05/08

Never have two simple words ever been used together to make a movie that is made up of both one word and another combined together to make a movie title.

For those keen cinema aficionados, right away you realized that it probably HAS been done before...

    Congratulations!

You passed not only the test for this weeks episode, you probably scored some points with your friends, real or otherwise.

Napoleon Dynamite is not a movie about history or explosives.

Depending on your etheric plane; I suppose it could.

But enough with the big words and tough talk; this comedy classic gets recast by two guys Chris and Lee. One of whom knows basically what he's doing.

It stars Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, Jon Gries and lot of other funny folks. It is well cast and we undo that hard work to give it a more current 'now' or 'pop' feel. And really we're just try to make it gooder.

Our guarantee: we offer the most organic, farm to table talking and organic words out there on the podcast market. Plus, very little micro plastics were used in the making of this episode.

Second guarantee: we promise to never really seriously fact check or get the information 100 per cent accurate.

Third guarantee: the audio might not be the best quality but there WILL BE SOUND OF SOME SORT USED IN THIS EPISODE.

So rest assured and feast your ears on some good podcasting at its finest. (that we are capable of)
